Very subjective ... Henry could get the ball on the halfway line with nothing seemingly on and still go on to score ... In the box you'd want a chance to fall to Shearer in the air and arguably Aguero on the deck .... Rooney was something of a hybrid at his peak - he could do all of the above to a degree ... Also need to look at the quality of the players around them ... Why isn't van Persie included? or van Nasalhorse? or Costa?
Can't really be arsed because, a) I'm not a gooner and have no axe to grind, and b) I would struggle to separate Henry, Shearer and Aguerro anyway. But there is an argument for Henry, of course there is. Fantastic striker.
More goals and more assists than aguero. Also he had to do it whilst he had wenger as his manager and we all know how pony he is. Case closed
Lets not start on wayne rooney rooney either. Hes barely even been the best player at his club let alone best in the league.
I don’t see what sort of contribution he made that separates him from the likes of Aguero, Drogba and Rooney. Shearer’s numbers separate him from the rest obviously. If we are talking talent alone and not just number 9/10 type strikers, Ronaldo obliterates Henry every which way.
. ****ing typo but actually is a great point. Might have to call him that in future. Both not the greatest in the league. Yup could argue a few
I don’t actually think it’s Rooney mate, although are there any strikers who have more winners medals than him in PL era?
Not getting into that dick waving contest, thanks. They are/were all great players. Give it to Shearer on the numbers if you must. Henry is up there with the best, that's all I'm saying. Most Arsenal fans of my generation (and I have unfortunately been surrounded by the ****s for decades) seem to rate Liam Brady and Dennis Bergkamp as their two greatest ever gooners.
Solskjær has 6 PL medals, any strikers with 7? Cole and Rooney have 6. Edit... Cole and Rooney have 5.
