Millwall hit the healdines because they have a reputation from the 70's and 80's, supporters from other clubs look to go and challenge that. Yesterday was a classic example, pissed up Everton fans went looking for a fight. I'm not saying this is one sided it wasn't. But the general rule of thumb is if you go looking for trouble, you will generally find it in football. Funny how i've been to the Old Den, and travelled through the area countless times but never had trouble. Yeah we had the old pitch invasions at our place, but again they never came looking to fight me. The video of the very young child was shocking to say the least, but it's a social problem, you cannot blame that on football or Millwall Football Club. It just happens that they were Wall supporters but much deeper issues were going on there. That mind set would have occurred regardless of football. As for bans and arrest, a Fulham supporter was killed at our place two decades ago (Matthew Fox) - something i never want to see in football again, sadly yesterday we saw the ugly side return, thanks to Everton fans not restraining their behaviour.
No. People have standards... I know you don't agree, It's a bit different from getting into a scrap and kicking **** out of each other, than hitting a kid of woman.. I think most of them have some standards....

Yes mate. Heysel and Hillsborough. I was appalled by the latter, any idiot could see the fans were penned in, but i will never ever forget the words that claimed it was violence kicking off at the beginning. Anyone who had attended football matches could see it wasn't violence but supporters getting crushed, it was appalling. Five years before Hillsborough, Gillingham played Everton in a cup tie. They allowed over 17k in our tiny ground, basically even five years prior, we were calling for them to close the gates. Today it would never be allowed, so as i say, anyone that had attended football around that time, would have known the hidden dangers within. But Maggie's troopers had a grievance in South Yorkshire and i've never forgiven her or them (police) for what happened.
Doubt it, it is obviously plastered everywhere more whenever its Millwall due to past reputation but a fan getting slashed at a high profile match will always be news these days.
It's true, like i say, i do side with Liverpool fans on this one. Maggie hid the truth, she had a run in with the miners and exhausted police had old grievances to settle.
