There is good chance a Championship side makes it to Wembley this year. And that's excluding the playoffs before some smartass pipes up.
This Spurs team is awful though. For brief moments my brain keeps on thinking that it's Eriksen popping up in pockets of space outside the box, until I quickly remember that it's Dier or Skipp. And I'm sure Llorente is loving KWP constantly getting down left, only to cut inside rather than cross, before KWP is right footed. As for Nkoudu...
Can't work out why Spurs had Nkoudu as the guy left to shoot, or whether if it had been anyone else Palace would've bothered marking him. Woeful penalty by Trippier
Just seen the Palace penalty. Can't remember what the rules are on double punishments, but it looked like it should have been a red for the Spurs player?
I don't think there is. The 1st, 2nd, 4th*, 6th, 7th and 8th* placed PL teams are still there. It will take very lucky draws and results for one of the other 10 teams to be in the final, which they would then lose. *probably
Haven't seen it but denying a goal or goalscoring opportunity in the area by deliberate handball is a red card.
Should have been a red then! Though I guess it depends whether you can call that a goal scoring opportunity or not.
It was quite similar to the one in the JPT Final that we got, where the defender handballed it to stop the player getting a header on goal. Today, I thought it was not so certain that Wickham would be able to get a header on goal, more likely back across the area, so I'd have thought yellow card was fair
I said above that it definitely should have been a card. But I'm in two minds as to the colour. I'm leaning more towards yellow. Wickham certainly would have got a head on it, but there's much doubt over whether he'd have scored.
