can't cos season tickets are season tickets and tickets already sold to agents etc.

the reality is there's season tickets being sold for this.

then they should do an internal query somehow, and anyone found abusing their season ticket should have it removed and given to ones who fecking deserve it more.

must be a way to find out who is selling their season tickets, if for face value fair enough no harm done(could be a simple they couldn't make it and give to others to make use of), but any one caught exploiting it for gain should be punished.

    They should.

they should.demand photo id's and have everyone st found and hour before kick off. any season ticket card has name on it and if name doesn't match Id then confiscate

easy to purge them after that.

tbh I don't think it's so bad. scalpers are one thing but if a real supporter looks at what's going on and had the choice of funding their season ticket for the next 5 years by giving up the last game and celebrating with friends down the pub then I wouldn't be so hard on them especially if they might be facing the possibility of losing their ticket as they're being priced out.

If you had had a season ticket for say twenty years and someone offered you £6k to use it come that last game, would you sell it?

Personally no, not because of the chance of missing us win the title but because of the chance of losing it if the club find out and getting taken to court for ticket touting, selling matchday tickets for over the odds is a big no-no to the people around here.
But I don't doubt someone would sell theirs for a lot less than £6k.

Too a someone you could trust? (so you wouldn't lose it come following seasons)

Only asking because people are saying they wouldn't pay that much. I find it interesting when you reverse the question, you don't always get the same answer.

I think everyone would sell for £1b but no one would sell for £1. There is a turning point somewhere.

The people I trust would be mates/family and would get it at face value, but yes there is obviously a turning point but it would be down to the individual when a genuine stupid over the top amount was offered.

It is the law of supply and demand. If you don’t want to get one, there will be plenty who will. To be fair, it is going to be a historic occasion for many. Unless you are in your 40s you are unlikely to have attended a lifting of the trophy at Anfield and it will the first premiership too.

I guess it comes down too personal circumstances. As much as I'd love to be at Anfield to see them lift the trophy, especially after 29yrs, I wouldn't be able to turn £6k down either (And I'm not money motivated whatsoever!). I'd regret the decision either way.

If money was no object (millionaire) then I'd pay whatever it took <laugh>

    not personally.

but then you have to think.. either im involved in regualalry doing it or im not.

those who don't are there every game. those who do sell on the Utd and city games etc and would sell that one on.

Everything in life is relative. If you are a millionaire or just won the euromillions 6k will feel like 60 quid, so why not? An amazing occasion that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. The person you’d get the tickets from would need the money more than you. <laugh>

btw if you are a millionaire you'd be in some corporate box anyway.

we are talking about average seats trading hands here.

as I regularly.point out... when Robertson is taking an attacking throw in at the kop end youll see the very front row of sir kd stand and every one of them will be tourist from far East... if we win the title by beating wolves those tickets will be going for much much more... but are prob already sold.

It would be really funny if all these tickets were sold in the next few weeks and with two games to go you were 7 points behind <laugh>

It wouldn't be funny... But as I was reading the comments above yours cringing thinking "don't take it for granted"... I can see some numpty throwing away his life savings on a ticket only for us to lose.

£6,000 is a lot for most people, but for some people it's a larger number than for others. Some people may never have £6,000 saved up.

Yeah,I suppose funny was a bit ott. My thinking was the same as yours though, wait until you're sure it means something before throwing that kind of money at it.
