You've got a remarkably dismissive attitude towards our most loyal supporters (the away, non boycotters) when you yourself have flip flopped on the owner many times....

"A relatively straightforward away trip" which you yourself did not manage.

The wider point is that Bowyer is "resting" players who haven't played many games this season, and could do with getting a few under their belt. Reeves & Clarke both played, and were both poor. Fosu and Bauer could easily have played on Saturday, or at least appeared on the substitutes bench which Bowyer disgracefully failed to fill. People defending Bowyer in the main are the ones who didn't fork out top dollar to watch a Reserve -U19 jolly. It speaks volumes for the inane lack of ambition in some that "Charlton never have a Cup run". Bowyer needs to learn a sharp lesson here - be clearer next time you play a reserve game under the auspices of a first team game, else risk losing the respect of our supporters for good.

** May I remind you of the above comment(one of many) aimed at Bowyer.

Bowyer screwed up in the Cup, I was wrong, he was right...our league form has justified his decision.

Please note the above quote from @Royston Vasey I did not think this was in his vocabulary.

I have no idea why you say Bowyer is not the solution. Bowyer is doing a great job with the rug being pulled from underneath him. We are in a Play off position. We haven't spent any money in transfer fees and he has got the whole team playing with fight and unity. I don't know what more he can do.

Bowyer has done a magnificent job on shirt buttons.

He has created genuine team spirit- Karl Robinson just read a book about it.

So you are a 'better' Charlton fan than I am, because your personal circumstances allow you to travel to support Charlton at away games, when mine do not.

Perhaps only the purest of the pure deserve to call themselves Charlton fans.
Maybe Survivor was right. There is no place for me at CAFC.

I was delighted to be wrong about Bowyer’s Cup decision because I don’t want to spend another year in this pox hole of a league.

Okay, okay, I was wrong to think that Mr van Gerwen would never say he was wrong.

I am right though to say that he very rarely admits to being wrong, a terrible trait.
