Every week we as a site are at risk of our servers being taken down and no one seems in the slightest bit bothered about that.

You totally miss the point,if sky or anyone else stop people doing streaming, that's one thing, but grassing people up including grassing friends up,well that's a totally different thing.Ps bad thought deleted.

They would target the people doing the streaming, not the people watching the streams.

Agreed but they do have the powers now to shut down sites who knowingly provide access to those streams.

Maybe using PM's might be a better idea but not sure how that would work.

If the likes of sky are so bothered about "illegal streaming" why have they not done something about it.
Personally I would not subscribe to sky no matter what as I believe they have done untold damage to our beloved game with all their money and doing untold damage to other sports. They will not be happy until they control everything.

    Ok lads. I’ve mates
On here and Steve or as most know him Glory is also a mate who I regularly communicate with. I’m not taking sides and won’t but he’s presently on holidays and does check in on 606. We’re having a chat this morning and expressed regret over that tweet and I suggested posting what he said
To me which he welcomes. Have a read at what he’s had to say as obviously has no better way of communicating this
“I regret my one tweet made in anger about streams. No way I can justify it, and I have never tried to deny making it. If it’s not too big an ask could you add that I apologise unreservedly for making it in anger even though I know it will be seen as unforgivable. Its is my hope everyone forgets about me, my stupidity and gets back to enjoying each other’s online company and what so far is a great season.“.

I believe this might be a good time for us all to reflect and consider did we ever post anything in haste anywhere and subsequently regret it.

If you knew where the site was hosted you wouldn't be so worried.

Porn is the biggest risk to the site owner as it lowers revenue.

Having glory trying to hold his mates over a barrel is unacceptable no matter what the circumstance. And for the record it was Glory that blocked El on Twitter leaving with the last word.

Ok thanks Bucks for clearing that up.

Didn't really think about it much until those tweets and would hate for anyone to get into trouble for at the end of the day trying to help others watch the matches.

I'm sure he'd be welcome at another 606 meet up to personally apologise .especially to Elland for his actions, instead of getting someone else to do it, i'd certainly welcome him if he did that.

I take your point Jammy, the site is exposed - but I'm not really sure how big the risk actually is.

Do other sites post links? Is it a common occurrance? Have any other sites had their servers shut down because of posting links?

Is there an increased level of enforcement activity relating to posting links at present, and is Glory the cause? <laugh>

Would Sky not be more likely to target the fewer streaming sites safe in the knowledge that by knocking them out the wider link-posting issue is resolved by default?

I'm not trying to justify our widespread enjoyment of dodgy Saturday afternoon access by the way, but for people like me who can't often get to the game it's brilliant.

The only question for me here is what means of illicit access do I use.

As a side note, in addressing the popularity of games now, the club has penalised non-local fans by changing the membership ticket access rights from silver to gold. It means that someone like me who only gets over 2/3 times a season can't buy tickets without stumping up £70 in advance for the privelege, and can't risk booking flights, hotels etc without it. :emoticon-0130-devil

Well at least he has admitted GWW makes a change. I still maintain its a shame that someone who I enjoyed having a spat with should react in such a way(trying to close the site down) thus spoiling the enjoyment of many.

Getting tickets for the remaining home games this season is potentially going to be an issue.

As I understand it they will go on sale to Season ticket holders/ Gold members first with a new maximum of 4 per person. Then Silver members and finally general sale.

If you need any help Davy just let me know and I shall do my very best for you.
