    It's my Uncle's 40th next month and he's having a 70s fancy dress party.

    I wasn't alive until 1990 <ok>

Who wants to help me decide what costume to get? Since I wasn't alive during this wonderful decade, I could certainly use some pointers.

A gold star for whoever comes up with the best one <party>

    Of course!

    I forgot the medallion, though.

The only problem you might experience is that it could be a popular look at a 70s themed party.

Star Wars started in the 70s, as did disco.
Elvis got fat, Led Zeppelin got successful.
Thatcher got elected, if you really want to push the boat out!

Gary Glitter's biggest hits were in the 70s, if you want to be really controversial! <laugh>

    Insert miners/minors joke here.

I suggest contacting these gentlemen. They'll be able to tell you where you can source authentic 70s gear.

You'll need the biggest pair of f**k-off Lional Blairs you can find, but don't walk across any parks after rainfall, or they'll be flapping round your shins like wet sails, and you will not be able to run away from marauding bovver-boys.

Also, you might want to tie a football scarf round your wrist.
