Despite the title of this thread, my actual purpose is to ask for others to be more lenient. I know people get fed up of JA starting a lot of threads [and that half of you have probably got him on the block-list], but you cannot deny, he does make you laugh. Whether its the latest Ryman League midfielder who could run rings around the likes of Gary Naysmith, to the latest sightings of George Lucas visiting Sparrows Lane to promote the re-release of the Star Wars boxset, his threads always give me a chuckle (as do the responses from some posters).

I for one like having him around.

He drives me crazy - a total waste of computer space.
Most people had him on their block list but that doesnt work now he's changed his logon.
If it was me, i would put him and A2C together in 1 room and see what would creep out under the door.

I have changed my attitude towards JA.

If I am in the mood to read his posts then I will - like today.

Other days I skim over them.

But he is harmless - and like Marmite.

I personally find his threads funny to read but what really annoys me is the fact he writes one sentence per post and the thread looks good with loads of replies but its actually JA speaking to himself.

Exactly, and it could be worse, he could be like A2C who was pretty much despised universally.

I agree with Ponders - I just ignore his posts on the day's I can't be bothered to read nonsense. At least his threads are titled so obviously that I know they are not actually Charlton related and probably from him. Made me laugh today though; he must have the worst spelling and grammar of any poster on the internet anywhere and he said he's a writer!

Meaning he grows on you ?

Try promite, much better, i love it.

Sure he is harmless and makes some laugh it seems, but i hate it. Aside from skimming over all the crap, i like this forum for the threads that are created by everyone else and it for me is annoying to have to work out what i have and havent read. Sounds minimal but he is coming up with constant jargon every day.

I wouldn't say he is growing on me, Oz. It is just that I have received moot information regarding JA and felt the need to show a little more restraint.

I have never heard of Promite. Can it be bought in Blighty?

I used to be a mod on the CAFC Fans forum some years back and that's where I first came across JA. At first I thought it was a wind up, but quickly found out he was for real. I always labelled him as 'Mostly Harmless'.

All i can say is what is "blighty" ? A store ?

In our supermarkets you can buy them all, promite, vegemite, marmite and one other i think. Australia is so famous for Vegemite, quite bitter and not nearly as tasty as Promite.

Its hard enough to find Vegemite here let alone this promite you speak of, all I ever see is marmite and asdas own brand yeast extract, which isn't that far away from marmite and alot cheaper <ok>

You can get Promite in an Australian Shop on Maiden Lane in Covent Garden.

My girlfriend is an Aussie, she bloody loves promite, and converted me to it too!
