Below is the distribution of prize money in this years FA Cup - so far City have made £315k from their 2 victories.

To be fair to the FA the distribution of money is a massive help to lower/non-league clubs. Not often they get something right!

    The Emirates FA Cup
    Season 2018-19
Payments made from The FA's prize fund

Extra preliminary round winners (184) £2,250 Losers receive £750
Preliminary round winners (160) £2,890 Losers receive £960
First round qualifying winners (116) £6,000
Second Round Qualifying winners (80) £9,000
Third Round Qualifying winners (40) £15,000
Fourth Round Qualifying winners (32) £25,000
First Round Proper winners (40) £36,000
Second Round Proper winners (20) £54,000
Third Round Proper winners (32) £135,000
Fourth Round Proper winners (16) £180,000
Fifth Round Proper winners (8) £360,000
    Quarter-Final winners (4) £720,000
    Semi-Final winners (2) £1,800,000
    Semi-Final losers (2) £900,000
    Final runners-up (1) £1,800,000
    Final winners (1) £3,600,000

Amounts are per club in each round. Numbers in brackets represent the number of winning clubs per round

Nice info for overseas supporters like myself and am I right in thinking that home gate revenues are still divided 50/50, unlike league matches? How much do we get for televised cup games at home and away?

just been going through some of the teams , now out but but non league and they have made good money think Torquay made over £50k!
Doncaster or Oldham likely to be close to £ 500k after today!
so is good for the lower clubs …

5th round draw ...I hope we get an away tie at DONNY, win the replay then get home tie with ……. a big one!

[ Have stopped looking at the cricket scores, been going over on BBC site to check progress each time and there was a wicket down [4 times ] 143-3 overs bowled same as wicket fell/167-4 only 1 batsman not out showing as was the case at 217-6 / went back over to see who batsman was and it was 218 -7 and only 1 batsman showing not out !!! that's spooky ….. ]

The amounts are what you get for winning each round.
In some rounds the loser gets money as well - like the 1st Qualifying Round or the semi-final

A very winnable draw at home would actually be pretty damn exciting. The memories of the Carabao Cup will stay with me forever but the FA Cup is more of a 'real' competition.

Home to Crystal Palace suit the bill Rob? As you rightly say at this point a winnable home tie would please the supporters and the bank manager. I hope we don't have to go anywhere near the lion's den.

That would make sense mate, but given the teams left in the draw I'd like to think we could get something more winnable than Palace!

Completely agree regarding Millwall though, for all sorts of reasons it would be good to avoid them home or away to be honest.

I was at the Den back in the late sixties when I lived in S.E. London and watched City beat Millwall to send them down and believe me I had a very difficult time escaping the area with Ann, my now wife. Had many visits to the ground and saw some pretty atrocious behaviour on the part of their supporters and apparently that hasn't changed in the interim. Shameful.
