Breaking news from South London Press is that Karlan Grant will be gone before the end of the transfer window.
Announced after the game that Karlan is off. A crisp packet floating across the pitch had more impact on the game today.
I have just accepted a two breakfast bet from @Clb74 but @AllHellLetLoose and Mr van Gerwen blew their chance the past few days. I'll have a breakfast wrap with refill coffee please Mr No Trousers.
Interesting that the consensus on Charlton social media tonight is not favourable towards Grant. That may have something to do with his poor performance today. It won’t be a bad thing him going IF Gallen has two decent replacements lined up.
If just one of those replacements can form the same kind of productive partnership with Lyle Taylor then we are still in with a shout for promotion. But striking partnerships are unpredictable things. One of the best things about Karlan Grant this season has been his good fitness level. He has only missed 2 league games out of 30 through injury, and has always been in the starting XI when fit. There is no guarantee that any replacement striker will be as good at avoiding injury.
Grant is a selfish striker , shoots from acute angles when a simple pass can give teammates a better option . Done well this season but I am quite excited by seeing who Bowyer has in mind to replace .
Turn it in Bummie, the guy is in a run of form at the back end of the season whilst we are pushing for promotion. I have not got any problems with Karlan Ahearne Grant taking the money and run though btw.
Fair point. Grant and Taylor have been the partnership for most of the season. Both have played not far short of 30 full league matches. Taylor has 7 assists to his name (Some at least to Grant I would assume) but Grant has only 2 assists. Only 2 assists in nearly 30 games does suggest selfishness.
Ernie , your football knowledge is limited to watching a game peeking through someone’s legs, or if you are at the front through completely lager soaked eyeballs .
