I think having been told to mind my own business in what has always been a friendly thread maybe just a step too far. I politely asked some one to stop their one up man ship posting.. And the very same person who has relentlessly abused me does it again. I note that others well about five others, seem not to notice and just see happy to carry on the chat. I might ignore your constant attempts to denigrate France with a smile on my face as I know what it is like, and you are still living with your failure to make a life out here, but it does get a bit boring reading your uninformed remarks.
Leaving France to return to the UK was the best decision I've ever taken. It transformed many lives for the better. Living in rural France has as many downsides as the obvious positives. No wonder most expats reject it after a few years, especially later in life.
I am not prepared to get into an argument about something that I know to be wrong, but I am prepared to enforce the rules that say you will respect the views of other posters. If you cannot agree to make comments that are in the spirit of this forum, do you really want to stay?

Are you asking me to give you a cooling off period. If that is what you want I will oblige. Just tell me how long, as once you depart it is then up to me to have you brought back. You could of course remain and stop trying to wind everyone up who doesn't agree with you. I'm surprised you cannot recognise your claiming I failed in France as a clear insult. My time in France was actually extremely successful but made way for something much more successful. You need to be much more consistent to be a moderator.
