Well we’ve set our stall out to fail. We will never pay what it takes to get a player, end of. We may sneak the odd one in when a club/player eventually succumbs to our lowballing. We will always be sniffing around the bargain bin. Our best possible outcome from this window is a backup left back. There’s not even the remotest attempt to get a striker. We might if we are wildly optimistic get Almiron, but he’s coming from the MLS and will not be ready for the fight we have, it looks every bit as stupid as the pursuit of Thauvin or signing of Cabella.
