no player in recent history has generated so much attention here and on social media. Months and months of what he’ll do when fit and he’s only ten minutes away from being fit etc etc. Just wait see what he’ll do in next game blah blah. So thought it would be handy to give him an appreciation thread of his own, so all the adulation can be found in the one spot, after all he’s apparently earned it

He’s the best player never to have started a game for Leeds United we have ever signed <cheers>

If he stays fit it would be March before Bielsa thinks he's fit enough for first team action. Bielsa said on Thursday he needs another 5 or 6 U23 games which means the season is almost over

No, we'll have got him fit, ready for his loan to Derby next season, then Chelswa will sell him.

He's undoubtedly a very talented boy...

Unfortunately his main talent appears to be getting rich from not playing football.

The thing is it's no laughing matter as he was brought in as cover for the exact 2 positions where we are short. With Siaz leaving, Allioski being redeployed and Harrison not living up to expectations we really do need a player of his ilk.

Something needs to happen in the last 5 days of the transfer window otherwise of the 3 players who have left only one will have been replaced. We simply do not have the quality or depth of squad to cope with being 2 experienced players down for the second half of the season. Last week at Stoke we were crying out for a spark of creativity but none was forthcoming as we became far too predictable without a midfielder who can pick the ball up and drive past people. For all Hernandez's ingenuity of passing he's just not physically capable of being that player.

The chances of Izzy Brown filling that void for us this season I would say is less than 10% as he would need to be at absolute peak fitness to make that sort of difference and he is clearly a long way from that.

I could suggest he was a cheap punt as were not paying him wages and why should be. That would be totally wrong of me to suggest though <whistle>

It's exactly like you called it. Only some people expected a lot more than what was ever going to be possible. <doh> Actually, scrub that - it should have read A LOT of people. Typical Leeds fans (not aimed at this site, btw).

Question is, why didnt we sign ten other crocks similar to him on loan. On law of averages, one of them might have worked out <whistle>

I'll appreciate him much more once he delivers the goods for the first team.

Rumour has it, we are saving him for our last 12 games.

I don't know why that would be though?

It’s not the lads fault he’s crocked. I imagine he’s more frustrated than any Leeds fan.

I said when we took him, if he was free until he played it was a punt worth taking. I also said that you can never rely on a player out for that long coming back on time or infact ever the same. So, you treat him as a wild card... a bonus if it happens... you don’t bank on him. So there always needed to be a contingency if come January he’s not ready.

Sounds like the club didn’t have the contingency bit sorted..,which then needed to become a major priority when Saiz departed.

I believe he is a good player but for us he has really been a waste of space along with Bamford plus the other useless articles who have come here on loan.

Yesbut hes nearly there just a few more weeks until his debut. I can see it now as he takes the ball in full flight and drives for goal....... . On his mobility scooter.

The lad is a talent, I'd love to see him fit and firing for Leeds, don't know if it will ever happen.

If he recovers his form and stays on he'll be an asset, and it's costing us nothing in the meantime.

Yes agread we really our midfield to start firing again. Klich has become drier than a witches tit. Im disappointed by the lack of signings its smells of penny pinching. Midnight thursday the window slams shut in our faces. Speed pace power all words not attributed to our team. Hey look at me jammy one liner wakey
