Rhubarb is great but I think the leaves are meant to be poisonous so be careful. They force grow it in the dark and apparently it grows so quickly you are able to hear it squeaking. Parts of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire are referred to as 'The Rhubarb Triangle' because of the number of farms producing it. Very sharp tasting and worse if not ripe enough but I'd say it tastes best when used with other fruit in a crumble, apples or pears work well but you might need extra sugar to take the tartness away. I make a particularly decent crumble by the way.
