Was he carrying the weekender, a picture of the queen and had Nicky tattooed across his knuckles? If so, we all know who it really was.
Hi all - having the following bets today Cheltenham 1.50pm Forest Des Aigles 12/1 each way. Lucinda Russell brings this one down all the way from her base in Scotland. Her only runner at Cheltenham today. Horse caught my eye over the big Aintree fences and he has won 3 of his last 5 races. Big run expected. Cheltenham 2.25pm Valtor 7/1 each way. Put in an impressive performance last time with some fantastic jumping and has some serious form in France. Just feel there is a surprise result likely in this race. Not sure Frodon will stay the 3 miles and Elegant Escape might get tapped for toe a bit. Daryl Jacob had a tough choice between the 2 runners and I don't read too much in to that. Terrefort's last run puts me off so I m going with this one. Cheltenham 3.35pm Black Op 11/2 each way. Has a serious engine and he could make up in to a real challenger for the Stayers hurdle. He wont be the first horse to try fences and then revert back to hurdles. Have put the above 3 in an each way treble. Good luck all.
A few to avoid at hq. Nelson river Ebola gay Activial Frodon Jarveys plate Midnight shadow Bennys bridge sorry Nass. Have a good day.
Terrefort was awful behind Elegant Escape at Sandown in November. He was miles behind Elegant Escape that day but rewinding to April at Aiintree he had been 12 lengths ahead of the same horse. I followed Terrefort last year and had him when he narrowly held off Cyrname in the Scilly Isles Chase. That form looks a whole lot better after Cyrname got a 15 lbs rise for thrashing Mister Whitaker and others last week. Surely Elegant Escape will be out to put his proven stamina at maximum emphasis against Frodon, who is not assured as yet. Terrefort was second in the JLT to shattered love but I had felt 3 miles would be better for him long term. Henderson said last year that the horse shows nothing at all at home but but reckoned he shaped like a high class horse last season. Regarding the Sandown flop, the trainer said the horse jumped well on the first circuit but for some reason his jumping went to pieces on the second lap. He added that the horse was not moving right after the race and so they had to start again with him from scratch. Some media sources reported that Terrefort was lame after that race. Terrefort seems a positive in the betting this morning, while Frodon is weak. 7/2 is not enough for me to get involved though. He was so awful last time he ran and even if at his best he still has something to find. There has been some nibbling on Terrefort for the Gold Cup and the 66/1 he was for that race on Betfair looked a better option for a speculation. Frodon looked a short runner to me and I could not get involved, despite him being the class act at shorter trips.
Chelters, Worth a go with Sam Spinner ew at 14s today if he can get his act together. Elegant Escape can make it a test and come out on top. Dingo Dollar can syrike if as stated earlier Kings horses are starting to get into form.
Today's selections from Cheltenham... 12:40 - Nelsons River, e/w 1:15 - Spirtitofthegames 1:50 - The Kings Writ, e/w 2:25 - Elegant Escape 3:00 - Birchdale 3:35 - Paisley Park 4:10 - Our Merlin, e/w Good luck to all who play today...
Just bumped into the forums favourite trainer outside the SYT bar!! Iffy about terrafort and has been told doudairies wins the first ??
Another 'interesting' run from Glenloe. Clearly running over an inadequate trip, got outpaced and stayed on like a horse crying out for a step up in trip.
"pop"ped into the bookies to do a musical bet of enola gay (omd) Paisley park (prince) and Equus Amadeus (Rock me Amadeus - Falco) 3 singles and a treble hopefully shouting "amadeus amadeus" over the last for a succesful days betting! Enjoy your day!!!
Venetia Williams has a hell of a record in the Novice Handicap Chase (1.15) and Ben Linfoot has convinced me that she'll add to it today with Enola Gay, who has been well supported into 9/2. We'll give it a go.
hi fellas! cheltenham,1 15: a competitive field.KILDISART and azzerti have already clashed this season,on their second last start, with the former second and azzerti third, but the pauling horse looks better treated today,so i hope,he can confirm the placings here, and go even better now..
