Ignoring injuries (everyone is available), CB is our strongest position. We have four internationals vying for two spots and I wouldn't swap VVD & Gomez for anyone.
As third and fourth choices go, tell me a club that has better ones... I get what you're saying but we're not going to have three or four players of VVDs ability for a single position.

Fair point, although there are a few that I'd prefer over Lovren. But my point is that Gomez injury is longer than imagined, there could be complications. If he wasn't injured, I wouldn't have posted. Since his injury, we look much more defensively suspect. If he's back in two weeks without complications, it's not a problem....obviously. If he's not, we will be poorer.
