How quickly they forget.... I’ve gone with Squire again tonight in the lucky last, on his win here he would have to be a lot shorter than he is. On his last run he did as I expected at a track that doesn’t favour those who race in the vanguard.
He should have won that, got lit up by the one in front at the crucial time and Morris seemed to ride him for a turn of foot. Next time!
The change of scenery perked him up enough for a debut win but I think it’s fair to say he hasn’t improved for leaving Michaels. Same old gutsy performance from a joy of a horse. He had his share of niggles that just held him back from being really good but he is a lovely animal.
Thanks guys, there was plenty of 100/1 on Hanbury Dreams this afternoon. I thought she wasn't going to be placed after the jockey couldn't get a clear run and then got hampered but she made it in the last strides. I would imagine it will be handicaps next and a mark in the 60's for her.
