https://fanbanter.co.uk/top-10-worst-owners-in-english-football-as-voted-for-by-fans/3/ We came fourth, after Charlton, Newcastle and Blackpool.
Is there more to Newcastle than they have a very rich owner and the fans don't think he spends enough?
^^^^^^ This ^^^^^ Can't compare Ashley to Allams or Oyston. They're a Premier League club run on a sustainable financial footing by an astute businessman who sets a budget and expects his employees to work successfully within those parameters. Which they do. Can't compare that to the random clusterfuck nonsense and spiteful shenanigans what goes on with us and the Tangerine scream dream machine.
Ashley is most definitely one of the worst owners. Not of a football club but of a sports retail company, The ****.
When she was in Sixth Form my daughter worked at a Sports Direct store in Newcastle for a few months and absolutely hated it. She said it was bad enough been constantly abused by a stream of Geordie Charvas who wanted something for nothing or were trying to 'return' things they'd obviously nicked the day before, but to add insult to injury customers presumed that the staff were all bezzy mates with Mike and gave them grief for that anarl. She saw the error of her ways and went to work for Abercrombie & Fitch. Much more civilized.
Personally, I feel the Allam's are much worse than Ashley. Ashley is not a likeable person, but their main gripe is not spending enough money on recruitment. The Allam's, on the other hand, have disrespected supporters and deliberately gone out of their way to rub us up the wrong way. Most of what that Allam's have done could so easily have been avoided, and they could have left with a legacy which held them in high esteem, but they chose to deliberately do things to antagonise supporters which is unforgivable.
I'm surprised Arsenal fans didn't vote themselves top. They're the most delusional self entitled set of fans I've come across. They think titles, cups and top 4 are thier God given rights...
Take the Geordies out and that top 3 seems fair, we've definitely not got it as bad as Charlton and no where near as bad as Blackpool.
And even when they do win cups, they still complain. ****s, the lot of them. I dislike Arsenal more than any other club. I hope they crash and burn and finally realise what it is like to support a club that is actually in trouble.
There was a donkey lasher who got on top of the Arsenal team coach before recent Bpool - Arsenal cup tie, and got the predictable BBC 'move along nothing to see here' treatment' as he got nicked, Do they ever stop to consider how angry and desperate people must be to pull stunts like that, where certain arrest, fine, possible job loss etc are likely? The BBC strives to be scrupulously fair and gives us unasked for news of women's football (but with a CFC and AFC bias of course), but they have their hooters wedged fairly and squarely between the flabby buttocks of the moneyed oligopoly who they perceive to be the teams most people are interested in, and will not challenge the status quo, unlike in so many other areas of our daily life. . Trouble is there are the fans of the other 86 clubs who are sick to the back teeth of this craven analingus from the the pitifully weak BBC.
So there you have it, Allam. People debating whether you are the worst owners in football. There's your ****ing 'Legacy'
