When did you last see him play? I agree thats what the old Leadbitter was like.
Even all my Boro mates are telling me he's half the player he once was.

Robson ain't match fit mate we can't be waiting months on the off chance he makes it. He and Mumba are always going to be bit part players for the rest of the season even if we don't sign a cm.

Leadbitter my be short and not going to win many headers(doesn't matter, we play out from the back anyway) but he's very strong, and he's rarely out muscled. David batty was short and rarely out muscled. Julian Dicks was short and hard as bell metal. You're short and rarely out muscled mate.

Cats and McGeouch don't bring what we need and would be right down my pecking order, Power too who is looking just as poor. Don't care if we have 50 CMS, mean Jack **** when they're not providing what we need. Glad Ross see's it too and looking to address it. I'd be over the moon with Grant till the end of the season. He's a Terrier.

Honeyman is an AM and I don't place him with CMs.

You don't lose that battle or ability to get stuck in as you get older, you lose pace and agility.

If he's lost a bit of that he'd still probably piss this league.

Hes got no pace whatso ever, he'd make Catts look like Mpappe. Your thinking with your heart and not with your head.
We'd all love to see Grant finish his career with us, but thinking logically it would be a wasted addition to our wage bill unless we moved Catts on to another club.

I'm not, I don't have any real love for him. He was a bit part player for us ages ago.

I only used the title for effect.

I'm thinking about what the squad needs from a footballing perspective. No room for sentiment here.

If hed have been about 4 years younger yes he probably would have strenghened our current squad, but his legs have gone now. Ive already touched on the fact hes a short ar$e aswell, like many of our other midfielders. It would be like boys against men playing in this league if he was to get added to our first team.
Robson will be like a new signing for us now hes back, hes also a big lad.
A revitalised ONein will also be like a new signing in the middle of the park now Mathews is back, and Hume's not too far away.

Mate Robson is 1cm taller. He's not a big lad in the slightest, he's 5'10" average height.

Really i thought he was about 6 foot.
    Grants about 5 foot 8 i think?
I dont expect us to have a team full of giants but i thought the majority of our games last season we were outmuscled in that area and if we were to bring another midfielder in id like to see somebody with abit of presence.
I think Honeyman and Catts will walk into our team when fit. Jacks already said Mumba's not going out on loan, so we currently have Power, ONein, Robson, Mcgeouch and of course Mumba all battling for one spot.
I think we should use all our available resources and bring in a top quality striker.

Grant is a smidgen under 5' 10". Only a cm between the two. We don't produce tall footballers for some reason. Average height seems to be about as good as it. Gets, especially with local lads lol

Lol true, although Henderson looks alot bigger for Liverpool than he did for us.
Ill leave my opinion there for now. Whether im right or wrong or not will remain to be seen.

Aye Jordan is 6ft. Hardly a mountain but taller than the norm for us.

He’s 33 and can’t get a game at the smogs.
Nice lad but he’s past it IMHO!!

I think we need to be signing younger players who will improve, and either be good for us in the long term or at least will be able to be sold at a profit..

Can't say I've seen much of Grant in recent years so I'm not sure if he'd be enough of an improvement to justify dropping the lads we have got, I'm happy with Power and O'Nien as first choice with Honeyman in front of them.

Plus we need to sign two strikers now and at least one of them should be championship standard so I'm not convinced it's the best use of the wage bill.

But why would a championship defender scoring goals drop down a division? We have to be realistic and try and find potential..

The same reason as Wolves signed Neves in the Championship mate.
Id like to think any potential signing would realise we're pretty close to getting promoted so it could only be a short term thing playing in league 1.
The size of our club gives us a big advantage outside the Premiership aswell.

Exactly, well nearly <laugh> we have a couple at the club already and I'm sure their are more, its giving them a chance, and tying them down contractually if possible. We have not shone in this department of late, but I am sure the new brooms will be working on it.

Lots of Boro lads on Twitter saying they'd like to keep him and see him feature more and that he tore Peterborough a new arsehole.

As before i first released this about Grant when i released the story that Maja was being offered to clubs, I'm more than happy to see Grant back and at this level or championship he is still a good player, he will rip this league apart, and over winter we need at least 1 midfielder to cover for injuries suspensions etc.
