Women CAN catch manflu themselves but it is never as severe as when we get it.

I think the name man flu is as funny as. I don't think for one moment a woman could have been so witty as to make the name up!

    I think you're soft as ****e mate <laugh>

I've had this over the last few days. Chucking up, ****es, shivering like ****, sweating, heavy cold, sore throat verging on tonsilitis with how it feels. Not missed a day at work. Just quarantined myself in my office so the rest don't get it and cracked on. Its worked out great, I'm getting far more done because people are not coming asking me silly questions for fear of the lurgy.

My theory is always the same. 1. If you keep telling yourself you are ill, you always feel worse. Psychology is important I think. 2. Unless you have a partner who is happy to wait on you like a prince, you might as well crack on because you gain nothing from self pity.

I mean don't start thinking its a good idea to go for a run or anything daft, you will **** yourself. However unless you have a really physical job, a bit of work isn't going to make you feel any worse. Yeah I think blokes have a habit of feeling sorry for themselves. Mind while women do crack on with things better, they don't half mind telling you that is they are doing and how tough they are.

To be honest this is the only thing that is pissing me off. I love my food. At present it is just tasteless and painful to eat. Soup is my friend at present. A nice crusty bun would have made it better but hey ho.

If you're at work, you're less of soft ****e mind, I'll give you that

I had two pet hates as a manager at my old job - people who ring up saying they can't come in because of a migraine, and people who can't come in because of diarrhoea. Look we have a ****ter you can use whenever you want. As for a migraine, is it a migraine or have you just got a headache? Take some paracetamol and get to work you work shy bastard. A genuine migraine is a mother ****er.

I don't care what people say, as a nation we have become pathetic. How can you not miss a day in 36 years, yet we have people who are regularly off. Some of those where I worked even commented that the trigger point for a closer look was 11 days. They were basically adding 11 days to their annual leave <laugh> Given we got 30 days and worked flexi time, you had people off loads. You knew who they were, as for say three months at a time they would be at the door waiting for the office to open at 7am, and they'd work through till 6. They'd build up 3hrs a day, 15 hrs a week for 12 weeks. Add their 11 days sick and 30 days leave, they were never ****ing there.

There's alot if nonsense being spoken, so I'll answer this.

Woman age better at handling cold and flu because of the hormone oestrogen..

Oestrogen receptor modulators reduce flu and woman have much more than men.

    So it's not a myth
