Pud thinks an independent Scotland with an (estimated) debt of £15bn is too much of a risk so we should stay part of the UK which has a total debt of 1.78 trillion.

    Or something.

You forget the infrastructure costs when scotland becomes independent

And how this would all be funded .

However, as I said ...based on stupid Morris dancing ****s, those costs may be worth it now.

We already pay for the infrastructure in Scotland through taxation. The difference is it's largely dictated by a government in London which invests most of it in the South-East. Scotland isn't the only part of the UK to suffer while the South-East sees record investment. Try living in Cornwall.

And the UK debt in 2014 was around the one trillion pounds mark. It didn't seem to bother No voters.

No he doesn't as nobody expected a leave result ...I voted no expecting to stay in both the union and be part of the EU .

An independent scotland would not have been an automatic part of the EU ...

It would have had to apply .

We would have been in a worse situation .

That would suggest Scotland voted to leave then.

Didn’t think that one through did you?

The application would have been a formality, it's not even a consideration.

    Would it ?

    Hmmm...

Is that what the EU said ?

No, at the time they said an independent scotland would have to apply

And each country would have to agree

At the time, a few countries said scotland would be subject to the same process as others i.e. not automatic entry ,join a long queue of others and subject to their standard processes etc
