I don't honestly think that he thinks he'll face charges in Las Vegas, he might be untouchable in Europe but if those lawyers over there think they've got a case they'll extradite him, and him pleading guilty to an act of dishonesty in Spain today won't paint a picture of him telling the truth in front of any future Nevada jury.
The stupid **** should be keeping a low profile considering what could happen to him.

Yeah, Messi and others have been done for it, but they aren't facing a possible rape charge in the US.

 

Tonnes have been done in Spain for it. Mascherano, Mourinho as well as messi and ronaldo. Pretty sure there have been others as well.

 

Think the Spanish tax thing goes back to the fact that years ago pro footballers could get tax allowances as "cultural" assets so cutting tax bill substantially. When the crash happened naturally your average fella wanted to know why footballers were contributing so little so the tax breaks were removed. My guess is that then their financial advisors became "creative" to ensure that they didn't actually pay any more and it is those decisions that have come home to roost.
obviously this is just imo and based solely on my misfiring memory.
