Yes, saw them a few times in the early 70’s at a big venue in Upney out near Mansion House. Was a serious gig goer back in the day. Even saw Mott the Hoople before your mate ate them.

 

It’s 11:16 pm here Joe. We had a busy day so I had to drink with the customers . We play quite a good selection of rock, the customers like it.

I saw Ash a few times too and if you listen to their 'Live Dates 73' original album as they are gearing up to 'Throw down the Sword' you will hear a guy shout 'Powell', that was my mate, another cracking guitar player..
