The Arter situation has to be resolved ASAP as it can’t be allowed to drag on as that would limit time to bring in a replacement. I so really want to read this week that a competent right back, central defender, central midfielder are on their way. Connelly is a disaster waiting to happen if he’s got to come in. Peltier and Ralls are clearly not good enough. Tan has put his hand in the till for 2 strikers but they’re going to be a luxury if the defence is going to concede such terrible goals as at Newcastle and they aren’t going to be given chances to convert. Worrying times for the City
https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp...ews/aston-villa-transfer-chase-takes-15709364 If 10m is the asking price, why don't we stop chasing Tameze, and put that 10m to signing Arter?
Only watched him play for half a game, but tameze looks to have more about him than arter. Saying that, arter is part of the squad and up to speed with the PL. Can we have both?
Good point and well made. I would be happy with that, frees up a loan place too. I understand his aim is to get back to London. That being the case why go to Birmingham, to a lower league side, with no guarantee of promotion, especially on loan? And we have the seaside, which they don't. Watford I can understand but Villa, nah.
Another striker?...... https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/8248340/sunderland-reject-josh-maja-offer-cardiff/
First and foremost, I hope the plane has landed and all are safe. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-guernsey-46954922
Can't help thinking that if he was not on the plane, something would have been said by now by him. Sad news though, whoever is on the plane if it ahs gone down.
Ok, realise the mood is still somber, but as discussed in Sparkey's "what to do" thread, the sun came up again this morning and the world continues turning. For the first time since the events of Monday, WoL has posted a Cardiff article other than in relation to Sala. I don't want to offend anyone by starting talking about life after Sala, and that certainly isn't my intention. Someone has to be first, so it might as well be me. Looks as if 2 targets are being discussed. One looked at previously in midfielder tamaze, plus a new name at full back. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...cardiff-city-resurrect-move-8million-15728733 My thoughts remain with the family of Sala and Ibbotsen.
I totally sympathise with all of you who don't want to think beyond the events of this week. I respect your opinions and if you disagree with what Remote and I say I will not argue with you. Nevertheless the club cannot stand still and has to take a pragmatic approach with 2 games in the next 8 days. I expect nothing at Arsenal but surely next Saturday we can both have a remembrance for Sala and send out a team determined to play in his memory and get a result - as Leicester did at ours. We clearly need to improve to survive in the Prem. After all that was what Sala was coming here to help us do. To me it would be doing him a dis-service if we did not make every effort to achieve this. That will require us to get in better players than we have already. If the 2 mentioned fit the bill then the club must get them. They will be in the spotlight and it is a chance for them to shine. Coming from France they will also have an appreciation and respect for the atmosphere that exists at Cardiff.
Yes, I must say I agree with the above two posts. As difficult as it is to move on emotionally, the world only stops for those no longer in it. The club has to be responsible to both the families and friends of those lost, but however hard it must be, it also has to consider those still at the club - and that includes its' supporters. Where we'll end up in May could well depend on what happens this next week - that's one hell of a responsibility for all concernend..
