Hahaha, yeah I'm sure this is true. Because all we need right now is another crock to add to the growing list... https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/8240542/andy-carroll-striker-tottenham-2m/
The other name mentioned. Callum Wilson, is a much better prospect even at £50m if Levy would open the purse strings. My in laws are Cherries fans so I have been able to watch him from time to time. Quick and very mobile, strong, good in the air and knows how to find the back of the net. Ideal cover for Kane and able to play in tandem with him on his return. He would be a great asset to the squad and provide options not there at present.
There's two problems with that i.) The Chavs were quoted £75m for Wilson the other day ii.) He went off injured against West Scam on Saturday, with Eddie Howe suggesting his knee was causing problems

Unpopular opinion: Andy Carroll at £2m wouldn’t be bad business. Just as long as medical team were confident no signs of recurring injury. Can be a real handful when fit.
WTF has he done in his career to date to justify the privilege of being paid 90K/week to play for Spurs ?? QED.
Likely whatever he’s on at West Ham. He’s not in a bargaining position to be asking for a pay rise. Simply moving from their bench to ours yet would have possibility of CL football and playing in a much better team. If we could shift Llorente out and replace him with Carroll I think it’d be beneficial, boosts HG quota, similar style players but I’d say Carroll is a bit more mobile which should bode well. Not arsed if we don’t sign him but just think you can’t really go too wrong at £2m.
The real question is which club would be so monumentally stupid as to pay £35m for him (at a time when £35m was a significant outlay for a player) coupled with quadrupling the wages he was on at Newcastle, which meant that West Scam would have to at the very least match those wages to make his loan permanent Hmm, I wonder which club that was...?
