As I've said before, the Allams are not committed to backing Adkins in a play-off drive. They might make the right noises and state that our best players aren't for sale but that is only half the required commitment. I don't think the players we have or the boss can do much better than what they are doing right now and they're bound to run out of gas eventually. Milinkovic could be our joker if given a chance though, but we defo need an quality CB with experience and the physique to match
No not quite he got us to 6th in 85-86, I make it 10 times we have achieved a top 6 finish since 1904, 1906 5th 1909 4th 1910 3rd 1911 5th 1922 5th 1971 5th 1986 6th 2008 3rd 2013 2nd 2016 4th 2019 ?
Think the fans would say something along the lines of what the **** has that got to do with anything. We are not worthy, we don't deserve anything.
We could do it, bit I don't think we will. I hope Leeds & boro and derby mess it right up and we beat bristol City again in the final. I would leak a bit of wee with that.
I don't want to be pedantic (well maybe I do) but the question is 'can we do it ?' the answer to that is yes of course we can
It’s the question asked, but probably not the question intended and certainly not the question most have answered.
I think Adkins inability to get Dicko and Keane firing will come back to haunt us, despite the good couple of months we have had. Could already see the consequences of this with him having to play Martin with continued doubts over Campbell. If we get a Harry Wilson type through the door it could give us a boost but signing that kind of magic is a bit unlikely
It is the matter of pure faith! Everything is possible. C'mon, Adkins! Also bringing in some dreaming talents can be helpful.
Catch 22 - The fans want their team to do well and get promotion but would the Allams be sticking around even longer in the PL?
