Best player to ever play the game... every club would be about 50% weaker without him

    Garth's "Bollocks Of The Week":
He picks Ederson for his team accompanied by this glowing piece of acclamation.
"He didn't have to do an awful lot against Huddersfield but keeping a clean sheet in the Premier League is a big deal"

And Xavi and iniesta and Neymar.
All they have left is Suarez and Coutinho, not quite the same is it.

Tbh hope you turn them over.
I like Mbappe and I would love Cavanni but possibly wouldnt fit the way we play

    So do I <laugh>

Neymar is a fantastic player and gets the **** kicked out of him every game, a bit sulky at times but well worth the acclaim.
That said, of the three you mentioned Mbapp is a step above, he would fit into any team and be successful. He has the attitude, work ethic, speed, strength and ability to be the best player in the world for the next 10 years (unless someone even better comes along).

    Agree to disagree on Neymar
I do nt watch him a lot, granted but with barca brazil and psg i am yet to see him get a kicking, i have only ever seen him playact so find it difficult to see his positives, he is no messi or ronaldo or xavi or iniesta. Those guys i think are probably the best i have ever seen
Agree on Mbappe, i just like Cavanni, amazed he has stayed tbh
, weird club to play for PSG
Must be like playing for Celtic but with Cities financial clout, weird

Mbappe is great, but I feel he'll go the same way as Owen, Rooney etc. I struggle to see him staying on top for another 10 years. Don't get me wrong Rooney & Owen were great but you feel that their best days were over after about 25/26. I just don't think its healthy for players to play as much as he has at his age.

Agree on Neymar, very, very talented footballer. Sometimes you feel that like Pogba things come so easy to him he can drift out of games and lose concentration from time to time.

To be fair I think its harsh on Suarez. One of the best strikers of his generation. I think he was at least on par with Neymar. Also mentally and physically one of the toughest players I've ever seen. Never missed a game and nothing ever phased him.

Even Coutinho was one of the best midfielders in the PL when he was at Liverpool. Its just hard to compare anyone to Xavi & Iniesta because they will go down in history as some of the best midfielders in the history of football, and rightly so.

There are certain players who you can put in the category of "always going to make it to the top", they are special players with determination and focus (talent helps a lot ), the three that stand out in recent years are Ronaldo, Suarez and Messi. There are probably more who did as much with less talent but those three stick in my mind as winners.
Then there are top talented players like Scholes, Alonso, Xavi. Iniesta, Modric etc (too many to name so haven't left anyone out on purpose) who never really get the acclaim because the aren't explosive or goal scorers, I think they are more the quiet stars who really want to do the job but avoid the limelight.
