Normally you wouldn’t think so but the longer the enquiry takes the more likely the result won’t be favourable in my opinion.
I think its probaly going to 3.4 that they are looking at, very vague though and relies on a definition of good faith and the clubs charter. The definition of good faith doesn't exist in the EFL section on definitions in their rule book. If they don't do something we should hit the 12 who have critised us with 3.5 3.4 In all matters and transactions relating to The League each Club shall behave towards each other Club and The League with the utmost good faith. Further, each Club shall deliver to the League a copy of the Club Charter signed by the appropriate Relevant Person for and on behalf of the Club. The League shall be entitled to publish the Club Charter. 3.5 No Club, either by itself, its servants or agents, shall by any means whatsoever unfairly criticise, disparage, belittle or discredit any other Club or The League or in either case any of its directors, officers, employees or agents.
Anyone thinking of going to the u23 cup match v Southampton on Monday night should be aware that the match has been moved to Tadcaster Albion's ground at Ings Road. 7pm k.o. Anyone going?
If I was Roofe or Bamford looking at that I’d be rubbing my hands at the thought of some of those chances being created for me - doesn’t look like he’s doing much wrong in most of those and there’s some really wasteful stuff from the strikers
Which club has a representative on the EFL board, and their chairman has been gobbing off about points deduction?
We’ve just got to get our heads down and create siege mentality and get promoted. The EFL are too spineless to do a points deduction if we’re still at the business end of the table - it would be too complicated with the timeframe and appeals and there being no set rule etc They’d do the same as they did to Bournemouth and QPR and do a fine after promotion. =
I can’t imagine Millwallk wanted a points deduction probably a point deduction because they wouldn’t know anything about points plurally
Also Rule 21 of the Clubs Charter (which the EFL statement suggests they’ve already decided Leeds are guilty of breaching despite no actual hearing yet) says you cannot bring the League or the club into disrepute. Apparently Norwich are not pushing for a points deduction, it’s all deliberately being done to disrupt preparations - Fergie style mind games https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city...k-around-leeds-chief-marcelo-bielsa-1-5859241 Don’t worry no-one really cares, all’s fair in love and war
Quick question, what have leeds done to bring the club or the league into disrepute. The reaction of some club owners/managers have done more to bring the whole game into disrepute than anything that could be aimed at Leeds.
No idea. I guess the EFL think that watching training sessions is spying and spying is dishonest. Seems harsh. I’ve heard of worse... But judging by the EFL quote they’ve already decided Leeds are guilty as they say it “appears” there has been a breach. That’s the bit I’d complain about. The clubs asking for an investigation (well, Norwich at least) appear only to be playing mind games. You could say that’s bringing the game into disrepute too, but I’d say mind games are part of football.
3.4 Says nothing, utter drivel. Who decides what behaviour is in the "utmost faith"? As someone said, was painting the away dressing room pink to gain an advantage in the utmost faith. I think lawyers will drive a chariot through that if the EFL try to dock points, besides, 11 clubs have written to the EFL so not even a majority of the clubs in the division. Anything more that a slap on the wrist to Bielsa reminding him we don't do that sort of thing in this country (probably why England win **** all) would look like a witch hunt because it's Leeds.
Agree 100% London. I guess there’s no precedent so whatever they do will set one, that’s my only fear that they want to be seen to do something about it... but it’s just a wishy washy catch all phrase to cover things they couldn’t be bothered to think about and make a rule for. Meanwhile fat frankie... has: - cast as yet unproven allegations about pliers - suggested his training was interrupted by the police, when the police say it wasn’t - said Chelsea didn’t do anything like this when their chief scout at the time has said he did... and his manager at the time has admitted hiding in a laundry basket and giving messages to his players and making substitutions in a champions league game whilst banned from the ground. People in glass houses. I hope we ask the efl to seek full disclosure from lampard. Given telling pork pies would to me appear to not be acting in ‘the utmost faith’
