we dont play wingers.... just saying.

mane and salah... name the last time they crossed the ball really?

they are moving around, mostly in field and all width comes from full backs.

Zaha doesn't cross often. Probably only does it because he's playing for Palace

Zaha has been playing up front for them most of the season as well.

A quick versatile forward who can play across the front line and can beat a man. Within the prem can’t think of anyone else that would fit into our side.

Obv cost a lot And may be other better options in Europe but we’ve seen how some players can struggle to adapt like Keita has and Fabinho did initially

He wont do well at Chelsea. It's a rule of nature. Good Liverpool players that go to Chelsea become bad Chelsea players. Don't know why... It just happens.

Zaha to me would be decent but not challenging for first team place.

I'm of the opinion that you look to improve your first team (and bump a player to the bench if you must) rather than look to fill the bench

If that means fewer purchases and sometime no purchases (like in the winter)... So be it.

If a player is only good enough for the bench, unless he's a kid that will improve, just pass.

None of our recent managers before Klopp seemed to understand that, we'd buy squad level players in bulk and constantly spin our wheels. Klopp for the most part has bought players that improve (or deepen) who can play in the first XI.

yeah.... the falicy of bargain hunting.

to be honest spurs have done amazing well waiting to the last minute in windows chasing bargains or buying young and early... when i say amazing i mean its ****ing amazing they are still in top 4 doing it.

alli... stole in January window for 5mil after Rodgers and Edwards thought they could wait til summer.

    Moura. shock last minute signing.

eriksen.. 12 mil after everyone turned their noses up at him most of summer.

but they've got it wrong too.

Normally, I'd go with the notion of buying top players and letting current ones drop to the bench, but we've got injuries stacking up and still no real cover for the forward three. Keita looks like he'll need the full season and another pre-season just to get into the swing of things (still think he'll come good) so maybe we should be looking around for a bargain or even a loan (Dennis Suarez?) to cover us until the Summer. Just someone who gives a crap and will put a shift in would be fine!

there's very few out there that's be good enough.

you want a couple to rely on at 70mins to sub off the best players.when winning by 2 goals esp when cl is on.

I doubt sturridge or origi will get another 20mins this season otherwise.

No thanks to Zaha. If we got him on the cheap, then he’d be a decent option but he’s not worth forking out a fortune on. Excellent dribbler but decision making and output aren’t great. Shaqiri was able to produce more in a ****ter stoke side.

Can’t see Klopp buying a cheap short term solution - he will most likely go all in for Werner in the summer. Worth noting that Werner himself said he doesn’t want to play central and he prefers to be out on the LW.

There's no way Zaha would walk into our first team apart from injury to one of the incumbents.
He's a danger when you're playing against him certainly, but he wouldn't improve our starting 11.

    What's the price? 70mil? 80?

For that the answer has to be no.

Origi out and struuridge out and then the equation hascto be twp forwards next year

Keita isn't part of the strongest 11 yet. If he does get to be what we are all expecting then he'll be better than Zaha, imo.
Besides, I don't think they play the same game.
As I said, Zaha is a decent player, but he stands out in a middling team whereas I don't think he would in a top one. He'd be a good option off the bench, but I doubt he'd be happy with that.

Whats our strongest 11 at the moment then because I don’t see us having anyone in that position at the moment bar maybe shaq vut klopp seems to want him playing in that midfield 3 and be the creative player in there

Front and back are obvious. It seems that Klopp picks the midfield according to the task -injuries also influence it, obviously.
However, Zaha doesn't have a direct counterpart in our system.
Keita is a left-side playmaker and Zaha is a forward and winger. We don't use wingers as such, Mané is the closest in role, although our players move across the line a lot.

As you're such an expert on our game, it can't have escaped your notice that he comes inside rather a lot, surely?

He does run down the wing so technically the song is correct, but not complete, as he does rather more than that.
He probably goes to the toilet as well, but that's not included in the song either.
