    Which team was worse?

Note: I am talking about in terms of performances and weakness of squad during the respective Calender years. Obviously there are still 3 months left of 2011 but there is little sign that Arsenal will improve.

Liverpool were bad in 2010 but Arsenal have been even worse in 2011. They really have had a shocking year.

I wonder if some of their fans who kept laughing at us for losing to Barcelona are still doing so now.

I imagine that they'd be more likely to be crying right now.

Yes. I remember a number of Arsenal fans laughing that you managed to beat a club that gave us a good pasting. And conveniently ignoring the equally good pasting your lot got in the 2nd leg...

Yeah we're all still laughing at you because, Fergie was so confident that he had the plan sussed to beat Barca that when you got taught a lesson it was great. Confidence breeds arrogance which is why we all laugh at Utd when they lose!

Nothing to do with it. You'd have laughed anyway so at least be honest about it. We just had to make do with number 19 in the end. Oh well.

Nope, as I said Arsenal beat Barca in the 1st leg. But the net result for both clubs was the same - dumped out of the competition by a clearly superior side, with only the most blinkered fans (cough, Jayram ;)) claiming they deserved anything else. I don't see what grounds either side has to laugh about the other from that...

    Clearly liverpool.

I mean Arsenals bad year consists of being in the CL, finishing top 4 in the PL, reaching the LC Final.

Liverpools consists of all round collapse, being in contention for relegation at one point, losing to Northampton Town and the club being close to administration ( possibly ).

Arsenal have had a massively better year this year than Liverpool did in 2010. Put it this way, Liverpool would gladly swap ( not the fans, the club ).
