We MUST now invest. Llorente's own goal and a howling miss prevented it from being the three goal win I thought it would be. I just hope that as we meet Chelsea in a cup that our form improves because that wasn't a good enough performance per se to beat Chelsea.

Should have been sent off. Pulled a wrestling move on Sanchez and gets the same punishment that Rose got for being fouled.

As a footnote, the refereeing today was atrocious!

A hard fought win with an improved second half performance. But overall, that was well below par. As @Spudulike says, that papers over the cracks. We had an injury crisis before today, but if we now potentially lose Dele, we are up **** creek.
Chelsea next, who have just signed higuain, and will blatantly be in their starting XI on Thursday. Where as we are severely depleted with a threadbare squad.
    Pray for Tottenham.

It papers over Llorente (hopefully) being given his last chance.

We're missing 4 forwards and our replacement striker decides to score an own goal and miss our best chances, of course it's going to be tough for us. I've softened a little towards Pochettino as I don't know whether fitness issues played a part in Lamela's sub but if not then that has to go down as one of the worst subs of all time.

We'd have been better off if Llorente had nutted Mitrovic in the first minute and got sent off because I've never seen a player actively make the team so much worse, like he did today.

He can't play, can he? Wasn't eligible for the first leg.

Thank **** for that. If Chelsea play like they did against arsenal yesterday, we may just scrape through. But no doubt they’ll be up for it against us, they always are.

Why is it that when we go a goal behind you think that we've lost the match? I read the same on the BBC comments just after the goal was scored. "I can't see Spurs winning this" "Spurs have no chance of making top 4" etc etc blah blah blah. Notice I said "The match isn't over yet." Please stop getting so despondent when we go behind. We won without Son, Kane and Sissoko coming from behind to win.
