Not only that but Swansea beat the Blades 1 - 0,
so 3 mighty fine results at the top of the table this weekend.
And another one down at the bottom!! <laugh> <ok>

I think I heard yesterday that Ipswich have conceded 2 or more goals in their last 13 away matches? Something like that.

    Impressive.

The trouble with stats like that is we all know when it gets to the match next month they all get thrown out the window. Lambert, the entire Binner squad and all of their fans will be more fired up than can be imagined, desperate to do one over us.

Let’s hope the stats don’t lie, but I’m actually more concerned about that game than either Leeds or the Blades. We could lose both the latter two and still get autos by storming the easier matches.

For a win against Ipswich. I'd be fine with a point from the Leeds and United games. 4 points from the 3 games would be ok with me, with a derby win.

That’s right. The key is win the derby. I’m not sure I’d be so comfortable with 4 points if the loss was against the Binners tbh, that’s the weird part I’m trying to highlight.

For me, the key game is that with the Blades. If we win that we'll be 6 points clear of them and at least 3 clear of the Baggies. A draw would be ok at Leeds and we should be able to beat the Binners, so I'm hoping for 7 points.

    Blimey, that's ambitious.

That would be an incredible achievement.

Derby or not, the binners are abysmal and we should beat them. With that said I'm about the bigger picture, if we can only take 4 pts from the next 3 games I'd want to beat Leeds or SU, draw with the other and lose against the binners. of course it makes their season but frankly if we get 4 from the other two, we'll be laughing our way to the PL. I don't hate them, I feel sorry for them. The Leeds and SU fans seem considerably more obnoxious than any binner (though I'm sure that would change if they finally beat us)

    Bah!

9 points from the next 3 would be good.
I'm not scared of any of our rivals.

I paid £42 for the Derby game which seems a bit steep .

We really have nothing to fear except corners.....being kicked off the park.....Leeds can be quite good.....and bad. Let's win this thing!

    Bah!

I'd rather a win against Shef Utd if we one had one win out of the next 3, promotion is the key don't care too much if 1 or 2, prefer it to be easy to stop my heart from almost failing at the end of each game haha

Yes General – it would be brilliant to win the title and show what can be done with a collection of 2nd/3rd/4th division Germans a couple of free transfers and a handful of youth players. Not forgetting a GK who had been ‘cast adrift’ by his previous club.
An analogy I’ve used before – a good chef can create an excellent meal with ingredients from Aldi, whereas a poor chef can dish up a very average meal, even in his ingredients came from Waitrose.
It was an excellent win on Friday despite the best efforts of the Brum players to seriously injure SEVERAL of our players. I wonder if we’ll eventually see someone sent off for a dangerous tackle against us.

There is supposed to be a referee assessor at every game how do these referees get away with it week after week?

Well Dave, all I can say is that we were denied a pretty clear hand ball/penalty V Frank Lampard’s Derby County and then in the next home game the officials ignored a stamp and several ‘studs up’ tackles, most of which luckily the NCFC player hurdled!!!!
The referee in the FA Cup game was pretty lenient with our opponents as well. Strange when he was SOOO quick with brandishing a red for Hanley.

Indeed. That stamp on Vrancic, after the ball had gone, was missed by the linesman - who wasn't more than 5 or 6 feet away <doh>
