It would be a shame to clear out talent at the club only for Lambert to leave in the summer or early next season and the new man have an even weaker squad to work with.
Haha - well the ' talent ' did so much. Seriously, are you on the wind up on here? You confuse the life into me.
There’s a lot of talent there. Just because Lambert is either unable to or doesn’t want to harness it, it would be a shame for us to not even get cash in for those players and then replace them with more loans / journeymen / crocked players. With the exception of Collins and Judge (if they can stay fit) I’m not convinced he’s added anything better than we already had. Doesn’t look as though we’ll get anything for Knudsen which is not far short of criminal.
Came in late on this one, and clearly the idiot penalty really was the last straw....again! New look team, periods of promising play, but cant really expect them to settle down. Time for all to accept that's probably it for this season, glad Lambert is staying, time for him to properly mould his team, ditch the dross and re-build properly for August. I like the man and the impact he has made. No great results run, but did we honestly think he could pull that rabbit out the bag with the chaos he inherited. Keep yer peckers up everyone, so to speak! Lets enjoy the Spring, try to play with a less anxious style for remaining games, let players prove themselves committed, and return with full fitness, commitment, half the f.......ng squad and storm the ramparts of L1.
Not as much as you know everything about - well - everything on here and if someone raises a point you ridicule, make them feel generally uncomfortable and argue until the end of time. That said - and I stick by that - you DO have a point regarding Lambert's results to date. Absolutely pathetic. WORSE than Hurst's. Played 13 Won 2 Drawn 3 Lost 8 9/39 points offered claimed, 0.69 p p game return. Absolutely laughable. Such a 45 minute manager to date. Winning Ht Reading, Millwall, Bristol City, Preston. Drawing today, drawing with Accrington - others probably too. Media man to date - yes. Everything else apart from bloody improving results, Lambert is doing very well at. He HAS inherited a terrible squad, however results have been WORSE under Lambert to date and this needs to be addressed. Villa away next, looks a 2-0 loss to me..... I'm really really f***ed off! I'm sure you all are too!
As I said elsewhere, from here on in Lambert gets judged on results the same as Hurst did.If we really see him as a better manager he ought to be getting more from the team,is it going to happen?
Cannot disagree with a word of that BigAl - I slated Hurst about his results and Lambert's are infact WORSE and he's had more players to work with. So far Lambert is a 45 minute gimmick manager. Laughable.
Enough of excuses for God’s sake. They might as well put the U16s out and stop us getting more and more in debt.
I heard on radio Suffolk that Lambert has been in charge now for as many as Hurst and is better off by 2 points. Not that it makes much difference. I thinks it's too early to fairly judge Lambert currently, he's come into an awful situation in which let's face it the damage had been done already in the summer to a club that has been slowly in decline for years. I'm not sure even the best of managers would have done better. It's not until next season we can start to take that judgement and even then he's got a hell of a job on then to sort the squad out.
Their records first 12 league games PP game are identical! 9/36 Lambert = W2 D3 L7 Hurst = W1 D6 L5 Better amend other thread....!!! 0.75 points per game. It is early but it needs discussing - he was meant to come in and improve results. He hasn't. Their the same over their 12 game cycle at the start in the league. We were 4 safety under Hurst, it pains me to say we're 7 off under Lambert. He must do better in my view. Why are we good first 45 under Lambert , then a Blackburn change today, like Millwall and Bristol City get the better of us!? I don't want him out but I'm not thrilled with his start.
I don't know how much the highlights show, but never mind just the goals, they could have easily won 4 or 5 - 0. I think it must be our worst performance so far, Town showed absolutely nothing.
Oh I don't know we've had many a bad performance so far this season. My friend was at Forest v us, Bath City neutral fan and said Forest could have won by 4/5/6 that day.
