That where MITO is coming from. A few weeks ago, not only were the mancs a long way from 4th they had 2 teams well ahead of them in double figures (meaning they could catch up on one but on both?) . Now even though they are still 6th they are well in the mix. Having said that it does not mean that their form will maintain and they will overtake both Arsenal and Chelsea.

yep, that's basically 2 draws with city wining both games. i know that's what all the wums are praying for sadly , but hardly a huge target to overcome.
In normal circumstances may be but we’ve not dropped any points to any non top 6 team and it will be significant if City could make up that gap as they themselves could be dropping points too. We are on course to get at least 90 points this season. Yet uniquely we are not sure of the title. We are talking about 2 outstanding teams. Any draws or defeats will be “significant” . We could argue about definitions but just a few draws or a couple of defeats could be disastrous.
agreed which i why i thought collapse was a bit OTT . There is the nagging frustration that as you say in most seasons we would have a comfortable cushion at this stage instead it will almost certainly be nailbiting for us & City.
