The referees ability is immaterial, a professional footballer cannot be allowed to call a referee a coward on tv.

It was a well thought out and balanced statement, pointing out errors on both sides that should have led to red cards

that led to a £20,000 fine, you cannot call a referee a coward.

    Did he say coward?

    Beer money for Troy anyway.

It would have hurt him more to ban him from games...or media duties!

  6. And it would have hurt us too. Think it's a good decision for once. Didn't affect anything on the pitch so hit his pocket rather than punish the club.

No he said ref bottled it, same as being too cowardly to make a decision.

Where do the fines go to? It should solely be for the benefit of hard up ex players.

Perspective: the Russian FA were fined a whopping (sarcasm alert) £22,000 for racism.
I suppose it all depends which spade is called a spade. :headbang::emoticon-0121-angry

  11. Good skills by Javi - the guy continues to impress and appears to know how to handle players. They're running through brick walls for him at the minute.
Still, I can't see Troy being round much longer with us as he's getting to the stage where he won't be able to do it week in week out. We should make the most of it while it lasts as he's definitely one if the most influential players in the history of our club.

  16. He was doing so well until he said that the Denver nuggets lacked cajones and reminded him of Arsenal in that respect...

Arsenal showed plenty yesterday, more than some of our players did.

Bad enough Deeney ends up looking the 'joke', but worse if it continues to cause WFC problems.

I think he was trying to join in with the negative view of Arsenal in the media - they get much more stick than any other big club do.

Ok they aren't quite as successful as a few years ago but still won more than Liverpool or Spurs in recent years!
