I'm a very placid even handed person until someone tries to hurt me and mine, then I'm a right bar steward
Woke up this morning thoroughly fed up with yesterday’s result, such a shame after the great Derby result. We really do need to pull out three back to back wins now.
I think we can clearly see we need a bit more creativity at the sharp end because having 70% possession and doing nothing with it is not good. Harrison was ineffective again, Alioski was nowhere near what he was against Derby, Roofe was abscent, Clarke was not clever enough at times. We either need Brown back which Bielsa says he needs 4 more u23 games first so mid February, or we need Bamford back and although he is back in training he isnt with the main group. For me we need a new creative player and a new top striker or more likely a new striker not many have heard of who is a top striker. 2 weeks left to do deals. So far it seems we are making an offer of the full asking price for Dan James, but still looking at Abeid from Dijon.
Does that mean Doc James will sign now how about Nelson Oliviera at just over £2m would be a steal Love to score against us and his very passionate at one time he was valued at £8m but Farke doesn't like him Ido!Decribed as another Cantona in style this will do for me!
Wins and draws will be fine for me. Put ayling at centre back shaks at right back. Phillips back doing his job and move forshaw up a place and bench klich. Personally i want to see the new goalie start next week. Maybe he will play u23s so bielsa can check his ball play. Now one left field against stoke we had no target player to bring on. Edmunson not even on subs so what has gone wrong with him. Roberts is lively and appears quite quick but to me seems a swap for roofe.
Or maybe that some are near relegation spots and see a way of dragging us down there. Its dog eat dog in football.
Personally think some are putting far too much faith in Bamford and Brown. I don’t honestly think we’ll get ten games out of the two of them combined. Brown only one small knock away from missing remainder of season. Bamford has been a terrible signing no matter what way you look at it
Can't help thinking a waste of £7m, especially for a club that supposedly as little to spend, decent enough player but as always been a sicknote.
Norwich Boro and Bristol are three of the eleven. Two Sheffield clubs refused to have anything to do with it
Have to agree so far and was also our most expensive buy for years, since Fowler in fact. and Brown going to be another month and even then none of us know if either will break down again Mike it now seems we are offering the asking price for a player who cannot get a regular place in a Swansea team? Yes I've watched some videos of him and he is quick as hell and gets down the line but in the video compilation 80% of his crosses went to nobody, but thats because the front players were slow? He is direct and really does hurt defences even straight down the middle running at them, but hes a kid without loads of experience but Bielsa has a file on him so.... Olivera is another kettle of fish. You can read this https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/staggering-fall-ex-swansea-city-15407003 or in summary: He was snapped up by Swansea under Gary Monk but only scored once. this guy is a Portugal International and scored goals for Benfica. He went to Norwich and scored 15 goals in his first season in a poor team. Farque came in and there are problems between him and Manager, even though he scored a couple of goals (5) but this season he hasn't been used and only played 180 minutes for the U23s. He was left out of pre season to Germany because the manager wanted the group to bond. Farque also recently said he needs players to run their socks off for the cause and team. Get the feeling Bielsa wouldn't like this guy Mike
If we’re short on cash I think we’d be better off trying so sell Bamford and replace him with someone dependable. Especially with the thin squad we have, we can’t afford passengers. Imagine if Roofe picked up a knock for six weeks, we’d have no striker at all
