I find that with their long ball game, and physical large strikers up front, you always are on the edge of your seat against them. Far too many of our passes went astray because of the pressure that Burnley applied.
Quite enjoyed that with the 2 different styles which in hindsight we coped with the long ball well although as OFH said it was a bit squeeky bum at times. Could have finished the game off in the first 10 minutes though. TD's second half attempt would have been a great goal but for Heaton. Now have 83% of points required for absolute safety. Thanks for your company again, won't be around for the next few games as am off skiing to France (I know tough on me eh.) Enjoy the rest of the w/e and next week.
Fair result.... Not the best day out. Dyches game plan worked.. Not pretty football.. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
That the type of game that shows why we will not get 50 pts unless they spend big and i dont want them to
Well if that Burnley goal had been given it would have summed up our day. Missed a couple of great chances early on but generally were very lacklustre and devoid of pace/ideas against a strong physical side good at their jobs which was breaking play up and preventing any momentum in the game. Not one to live long in the memory but least we didn't lose. Lets hope Doucouré is just injured.
Agreed re Doucore! Great atmosphere re GT and Duncan Welbourne.. And half time remembrance for supporter Thomas Sawyer killed in Afghanistan ten years ago. Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
We missed Cathcart's calmness and organisation at the back today. Also Doucoure would have made a difference. Btw - still 0-0 as we speak the teams are still trying to break the deadlock!
Highlights of the day - great tributes. Shame it wasn't a better game for them but maybe puts everything into perspective. Missed Cathcart as he is tall and good physically.
Sorry.. One with lots of faces on in black and white on a yellow background.. Can't remember what is said.. [emoji848][emoji15] Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk
