Sorry if there's already a thread on this, but couldn't see it and surprised there's not one up about it! But anyway, Henry has said they've more or less decided to revamp Anfield instead of building a new stadium. What do you all reckon? I love Anfield to bits and understand where he's coming from, but we need a bigger stadium. Surely Anfield could only be extended to 55k absolute max? When the new stadium was around 70k capacity... How could they fit in any more? There's literally no room! There are two small car parks by the main stand and centinary and then houses! Theres no room. Or would it be build upwards? Not sure how that would work. Any one any clues? Here's the interview btw. http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,26691,16461_6721536,00.html
if they build upwards theyll have to build outwards , unless the architechts((sp) im a plasterer btw and have no time for them architechts) have some way of building up without going out but i doubt it
Yea that was my thinking, and as it is I'd say theres just about enough room outside the stadium as it is for all the pre match crowds, any less space and it could get pretty congested...
well ill trust them anyway (as if their worried if i do) but they know we need a bigger ground and re-vamping as in a new lick of paint aint gonna cut it
