Like me, think most thought Alfie Mawson's injury happened when he jarred his knee towards the end of the first half in the game against Huddersfield. Not so. In an interview with the local paper reporter, Ranieri explained - "Claudio Ranieri described the injury at the time as a knee injury. However, the Italian now says, 'Mawson was changing his boots when his knee went.' The player has had to undergo surgery as a result, with Fulham unable to put a timeline on his return." Ranieri also said he was unsure whether it was the same knee that Mawson had an operation on at the end of last season before joining Fulham. That a manager knows so little about a key player is in itself quite unbelievable. PR across the Club of late has been as poor as our performances on the pitch. Cracking at the seams, eh what !?
