Kenny Dalglish has defended Stoke's direct style, claiming Tony Pulis' side should be congratulated.
While Stoke's aerial approach may not fit with Dalglish's footballing philosophy, the Reds boss says he sees nothing wrong with it.
Rather than criticise the Potters, he praised them and hailed them as a role model for other aspiring clubs.
Dalglish knows Liverpool face a battle at the Britannia on Saturday and the Reds have never won at the Brit in the Premier League.
Dalglish said: "Stoke will be a tough fixture for us, as they all are, and we certainly won't be taking them lightly.
"Stoke deserve all the success that comes their way because Tony Pulis has a philosophy and it has done brilliantly for them.
"To go from mid-table in the Championship to European football in five or so years is an outstanding achievement.
"Sometimes you hear people condemning them for their style, but in my eyes they should be congratulated for what they've done.
"As long as the game is played within the rules, who can tell you what is the right way and wrong way to play football?
"You have to do what benefits your club best. Stoke are an example to any club that has aspirations."
Suarez: I won't suffer from second season syndrome

I like Stoke, my grandfather and Uncles are potters so I have always had a soft spot for them. I also like the fact that they wind up the gooners a lot too.

What exactly is Kenny Dalglish' footballing philosophy?

One huge reason I am worried is that the Britannia is always rocking and difficult place to play. With the addition of Palacios, Crouch, and Jerome they will have a big feeling of what they can achieve and push on for the year. The energy and noise level will be at a higher standard than usual and it will feed onto the players. We need to find a way ( early goal) to try and kill the mood and not let the fans give the players that extra energy and incentive.

They will be buzzing, which should mean the game will be very very exciting.

Ya, I meant those three as they were deadline day buys and everyone was going mental at stoke compared to everywhere else really!

opponents are not all that worried about Rory Delap throw as before. They got used to it now. What is worring me is that they
have so many of our ex-players which may be advantage or disadvantage to either side.<ok>

Rory Delap? When did I mention him? I was talking about the fans, the stadium rocking, the energy they provide their players will be on a high after the moves in the transfer window.

He has a hell of a job to do with the likes of Adam, Bellamy, Gerrard, Henderson, Kuyt, Lucas, Rodriguez and Suarez in the team.

They will make life difficult I feel. This will be an interesting game, a lot of strengths you have, strengths we have, conflicting ( unless Carroll is on) styles of play, should be good. I see a lot of 2-1 preducting the results but I think it will be 1-0 one way or the other, really tight contest.
