Looks like this could be happening! I for one would welcome it & surely then we would off load Paynter? Forsell seems to have been around forever but he is only 30 so worth picking up for a couple of seasons on a free. Also I would like to see us hold onto Keogh giving us a front line of Becchio, Somma, Keogh, Forsell & Mccormack (Mccormack could be deployed on the wing)

Sounds good to me, Billy out Forsell in!

    Alright Bucks!
For me, the guy hasn't scored anything in ages so can't see the point. Paynter has a better record!! I'll trust SG on this one, but just because he played for Chelsea doesn't make him great.

    London White <ok>

Mikael Forssell has scored again in Finland's win over Moldova. That's seven goals in Euro 2012 qualifying for the former Birmingham hitman – only Miroslav Klose and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, with eight each, have scored more – yet he's out of contract and so far as I can tell spending a third week on trial at Leeds United. What's going on?

Would be a great signing, been playing for Finland this week & scored last Saturday so obviously still a capable player.
Didn't BigFatBoab inform us last week that according to his contact at Leeds United we wouldn't be signing Forssell? ;)

Something has happened for this deal to be back on, as it was clearly not on last week. I can only imagine Forsell hasn't been offered the deals he hoped he would and has agreed to the wage offered by Bates. Not sure about it all, now that Becchio's back and McCormack is scoring goals, I just don't see the need for Forsell.

Grayson came out and said earlier in the week we are not after another striker after Ranger was linked. If we sign Forsell it really goes to show we cant trust a word that comes out of ER at the moment.

I think Grayson feels the same way about it, Liw.

Why oh why do we need him and why does Grayson tell Sky Sports we are not looking at Strikers after bringing in Keogh? Grayon has to be sticking with 4-4-2 you can't possibly have a fit again Becchio with Forrsell, McCormack and Keough all on the bench and having turned down a money bid for Paynter.

For those asking, Ken Bates has confirmed a deal has been agreed to sign Forssell, just hoping to tie it down this week. #lufc ...........

Cue deal falling through due to KB’s inability to deal with the players agent!

Seems Kirwin is the only relable source these days.

Too much bullshit coming out of the club at the moment, I know we will never get transparency but FFS sort your story out before opening your mouth. That goes for Grayson as well as Bates.

How long is Keogh here on loan for? As for Forsell, i am a bit confused by the signing but it is a long season and it is nice to have some depth. Last thing you want to happen is another setback to Becchio and then you have to settle with Paynter on the bench.

Well hopefully Paynter will be shown the door in January and we will sign Keogh up permanently. Would be nice for him to start scoring a few, but with Becchio coming back into contention he will probably just end up as back up which won't please Ken.

i disagree with most of you tbh. currently we have 1 match fit, proper CF in keogh, who is only on loan

then we have becchio coming back from injury who surely cant be relied upon until he gets some games under his belt which takes time.

im going to discard paynter as most agree hes simply not good enough, and somma who is likely to miss the whole season

finally we have mccormack who is more of a second striker/AM/left winger than an out and out CF, he may well be used more in the gap left by gradel

so if were going to play 442, we would really need a back up striker for each striker starting, which is 4 strikers..becchio keogh mccormack forsell
