a much better idea, campers are great. Just drive into the middle of nowhere and chill out with most of the comforts of home.
Unless you’re spending plenty of money, swerve the idea, you’ll end up with a crate that costs a mint to moor and is about as appealing as a day out in the bucket of a dumper truck.
Had a pal many years ago who bought a fair sized boat.He spent **** loads of money and all his spare time for about 3 years working on it.When finished he was trying to get it on the river at Greenwich somewhere.Anyway, somehow the ****ing thing toppled over and killed him. Absolute truth.
Work out how much it's going to cost you. Then work out how many nights you could stay in a fancy hotel for the same amount of money. Then book that many nights in the fancy hotel, staggered over a few years. Once all the money has gone you won't have to pay to moor a boat you've learned to hate. You'd probably end up torching it for the insurance money and spend three years in the big house.
