Woodgate, Palacios, Defoe, kaboul and Holtby were all good signings that did well (Palacios only disintegrated after the murder of his brother which is more than understandable). Hutton was pretty meh, Keane was ok until the following November and then he went on a pies up against Redknapps wishes and was shipped out. Chimbonda and Cudicini were ok...ish...kinda... Gunter, Pienaar, Khumalo, Nelson, Saha and Falque were not not as bad as Gilberto who put in the single worst footballing performance I have EVER seen from a Spurs player in a EL match...it was so bad it was worth the entry fee! As for Uvini....who? With a record like that who can blame Levy for avoiding the January sales?
Holtby, good? He was ****ing **** . If you think Holtby was good, then you'll absolutely love Grealish mate! I'd say Saha was a decent signing, the problem was, we signed him in the window that we 'supposedly' made a £32m bid for Aguero. So fans always seemed to take that frustration out on Saha, despite the fact the bloke scored four goals in twelve games, not bad for a guy who wasn't always in the starting XI. Personally would've kept him, he himself wanted to stay too. Pienaar was probably most disappointing for me in terms of expectations, came with a decent rep as being Everton's best player, bloke just ended up being the attacking midfield version of Winks... back pass, side pass, back pass, side pass. Gilberto.. ****, I was there for that performance. Utter tragic. Uvini was that young CB we loaned in from Brazil that didn't make a single appearance. Best. Signing. Ever.
Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before... FootballDotLondon have come up with the perfect stopgap while Harry's injured: Jay Rodriguez You know, the same Jay Rodriguez we've been linked to since Poch first took over I'm sure this has nothing to do with this season being the first time he;s scored in double figures since Poch coached him - although there is the obvious qualifier that these goals are in the Championship...
Re Gilberto... so we're me and my eldest...gave us loads to talk about on the way home Holtby was 3 times the player Grealish will ever be
I couldn't believe how bad he was. To think we only had to put up with 45 minutes of it as well says everything you need to know at how bad he was for everyone to remember that performance. Was as if he were a fan who'd been on a sesh before the game then suddenly asked to jump on the pitch and play. Super Jack has more talent in his big toe than Holtby ever could!!! Speaking of Grealish, my mate text me the other day with a YouTube vid of Grealish's highlights so far this season, I'm getting the impression it's not just people on here that think I'm a bit obsessed with hopefully seeing him in a Spurs shirt
I thought that @humanbeingincroydon having a crush on Eric The Vikings daughter was the creepiest thing on the board but your jack crush takes bunny boiling to a whole new level
This whole board will apologise to me once Grealish signs and wins our POTS and then captains England to World Cup glory in three and a half years.
I had managed to blot Bruno Uvini from my mind forever. Thanks all for the reminder. Probably won’t be too hard to forget him again tbf
I actually think signing Isco in this window is more likely than addressing a position where we’re desperate! And I’m not joking when I say that, and will probably get ridiculed by 1 or 2 of you on here. Isco is still struggling at RM, and Poch continues to say we’ll only add the right player who adds genuine quality. I would be less surprised if that deal finally happens, despite the fact it’s far from being the most important bit of business we need to do right now.
£11m Dembele deal agreed to go to China: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46902590 I look forward to the tumbleweed coming the other way.
I won’t explode as I’m expecting it tbh Too many injuries (Kane, Dier, Wanyama, Sissoko) and absences (Son & Dembele) And no1 bought in to help.

AS have spent the last couple of days publishing stories that mainly use the phrases "Christian Eriksen" and "Los Ladrones do Madrid" Just a reminder, this is the address of AS's HQ Calle Miguel Yuste, 44 28037 Madrid Spain I'm sure there's no connection between the two...
