**** me did you still have your gloves on whilst you were typing all that? Spit it out and sort it into English will ya Enjoy the rest of your trip!
I missed the bitnoff about me being all inclusive and discovering Apres Ski too! The only downside is the French don’t inderstand the word ‘cans’.
Course they do. It’s in the French Riviera. As they say on the stage, break a leg with the skiing...or then again...
Loved skiing. I did a course on dry slopes in advance and personally found it really helped as i was able to plough and jump backwards by the end of it (i was only 19 to be fair). Trip I went on was in the Italian alps and it was amazing and then on day 4/5 I was skiing on a harder slope and suddenly realised that on the other side of the ribbon fence to my left was a huuuuge drop (I didn't get closer to have a good look but it appeared life-endingly high). Utterly sh@t myself and spent the rest of the week on gentle slopes going over minor bumps with fun. That was Italy though and my experiences of Italians is they have a laid back attitude to death risks. The key is to find your level which is fun/bumpy/dangerous enough to maximise fun but not enough to terrify you - varies per person and there's no shame in picking easier slopes, if I ever go again I'll not let anyone try and coerce me onto harder slopes than I'm happy with
I’m a pussy really mate and to start with I think I was locked in fear. Damien (instructor) and his hip flask of rum really helped loosen me up. I’m now tucked up in bed buzzing for the morning and turning down the chance to drink for another 3 hours eyeing up all th euro eye candy. Am in Alpes D’Huez and had to speak a bit of French thus far. Just hoping a tall, hot, Ginger French lass comes up and asks me ‘Avez vous la préservatif?’
Aye but he didn’t wear a helmet. As you can see I do (although I don’t fasten) and on top of that I AM a helmet.
Sounds like you are developing a bit of a man crush for Damien. Does the 165 Euros include any extras?
If you can learn to stop ploughing and pull out of even the slipperiest piste with a quick sideways turn you will feel much more in control and lose a lot of the fear. ...you won’t need any préservatifs either.
