I was going to say it's shades of the Grujic fiasco til that last post Sparkey. Fair play to tan if he's stumped up the cash. It's a chunk of change though.
Let's hope it's the final bit of news until confirmation of his signing comes through. Could be useful Saturday with both Newcastle centre backs going off injured last night. Injuries looked like they will struggle to be fit for Saturday. Didn't stop them winning in extra time despite the much vaunted Bradley Dack coming on as sub for Blackburn. Once signing confirmed hope we can move on to the right back/wing back and defensive midfielder still needed.
Dont' understand why we just don't go out there and do the business. Bournemouth took Clyne off Liverpool on loan and then bought Solanke from them for £19M, now look at this - huge club Bournemouth FFS!........ https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/wales-brentford-star-chris-mepham-15686927
Sala only on the bench for Nantes tonight supposedly as a farewell to his team mates and travelling fans - should be OK for Newcastle if he signs.
Down to perceived ability of Eddie Howe, style of play, higher in Prem and relatively established and they are well in funds after several years of tv payouts and relatively frugal spending. They need to be careful with wages paid due to low crowd income but having got Defoe off the wage bill they have freed up £50k+ per week.
High energy style like many South East Asian players but end product not great and at 32 can't maintain his style indefinitely. Would be good on loan for season alongside Sala.
Heads up!!!!!..........Sky Sports News....... "BREAKING NEWS Cardiff City have agreed terms with Everton on a loan deal for Oumar Niasse until the end of the season. Chief executive Ken Choo has confirmed to Sky Sports News in the last half an hour that the striker is expected in south Wales later this evening for a medical."
Closing on another? BBC Radio Wales have also reported tonight that chairman Mehmet Dalman is at the Nice v Monaco game this evening, with a potential deal for midfielder Adrien Tameze seemingly not dead yet. It's on BT sport so might watch that.
Tameze will have to show his defensive qualities, nice down to 10 men. His name has been mentioned a few times in the 5 mins I've been watching.
If Niasse comes, no more PL loans but you can loan from lower leagues and from abroad..... .....I think.
