I am with you 100%. I feel that common sense should prevail in these types of instances - If you have cancer or another terminal illness, you may even be able to answer yes today to all of the above, but not tomorrow of the next day or the next week, but maybe again in a few weeks for a few days. Clearly you cannot hold down a job, and clearly the most important thing is to get yourself better or at least more comfortable, rather than worry about money and finding work. A doctor's diagnosis should be enough, without the hassle and sometimes indignity of having to fill out these forms. My sister-in-law had cancer on and off for 11 years, and it wasn't until the very end (the last month of her life) that she got any form of benefit. Four days after she passed, her disabled badge arrived in the post. She was fighting for the disabled badge for about a year as it would have given her the independence to do things on her own, rather than my brother having to take time off work just to take her places as she wouldn't be able to walk from the car. I agree that rather than worrying about fraud, we should give to those that need it and a human should be involved in the process, not some automated system to tick the boxes.
and, with a possible ban forthcoming, I would like to calm the fears that not all things are actually rascist!
Yeah, second language though so I can (just about) forgive that... I'd love to know where this sign is.
No, I don't think so because the rest of the "time" words are completely different from English - awr for hour, eiliad for second so I think we canme up with munud all on our own
I see. You came up with a word for “minute” that coincidentally sounds exactly the same as “minute”, just as your word for “hour” sounds exactly the same as “hour”?
Awr only sounds like hour if you say it in an English way Explain eiliad then... By the way, Welsh is an older language than English so it could very well be that you lot stole the words from us
Sorry about the length of this rant, but I’m unhappy ...... just put a bad review on TrustPilot ...... Has anyone used Parcelforce? What a useless bunch of utter utter useless ........ I bought a guitar from a bloke in Durham. Was tempted to drive up and pick it up, but “sense” got the better of me, so I chatted with him and we agreed the best (and cheapest - discovered there’s a reason for that) way of getting it down to Romsey was via Parcelforce. I registered for their app so I could track the package. It was picked up last Tuesday and said it would be delivered on Friday. I was out on Thursday so, of course, they tried to deliver it then. They put a card through the door to say they’d try and deliver again Friday but I could call and reschedule it to a day and time of my choosing. So I called ...... I was out Friday, so I asked for it to be delivered Monday when I was in all day (they charge extra for Saturday delivery - in hindsight I should have gone for that). I checked the app on Monday at around 9 and there was no comment about my package, so I called the local depot (which I believe is In Portsmouth). The guy I spoke to said he’d get on to the drivers in my area and “call me back within the hour”. Needless to say, I didn’t get a call, so I called at about 3 and spoke to someone else. After much waiting, he went off and found the package which had been “missed” because “the label had come off” (I understand that Parcelforce attached the label themselves) and they’d deliver Tuesday. I told him I was out, but would be in today. “Ok”, he said, “we’ll deliver between 12 and 1 then”. I asked if he’d guarantee that and he said “yes - the van is in Romsey every day between then. So of course” Checked the app this morning and, lo and behold, it said it was out for delivery and would be here between 12.00 and 13.00. I was out in the morning but rushed back here for 12, still checking the app. Then, suddenly, at about 12.30 the information on the app changed. There’s an “other driver” who has my package and he’ll deliver between 15.00 and 16.00. The original one appears not to have it anymore ....... So, now, I’m waiting here to see if they can actually deliver it then ..... and if it’s undamaged. I’m a tad concerned .....
OK I’ll concede we stole “shop” and “cafe” from a mixture of Celtic languages, such as Brezhoneg and Kernowek, as well as Cymraeg.
Wasn’t the Elvish and Middle-Earth languages devised by Tolkien a mixture of Welsh, Celtic, Norse and Old English?
