All good points DH, but that was Lambert’s style when he was with us - unknown players who had no real record or who had been dismissed by other teams. Lambert is best on a tight budget IMO. I think, against all the odds, he could keep them up.
I doubt it, personally - too far behind. But if they stick with him, I think he will get them back out of Division One next season.
As well as he has done this season I cant help but feel we could do with a Tettey replacement to screen our defence a bit more? I think our midfield is leaving iur defence wide open at times as we are (to our delight) pushing more men forward to get in and around the box. However, Trybull isnt particularly good at that role (more of a keep ball player) and it looks like Godfrey is just staying at CB.. not sure how defensive minded he is as a midfielder anyway? The rest of our midfield are in no way defensive minded. Like the look of that Turkish lad we were linked with. Think Pukki's shortfalls (height) were outlined in Stiepermann's absence yesterday. We need someone strong in either number 10/ 2nd striker role to hold the ball up. They would be my main areas to bolster this month... if at all possible?!?!
Fair comment bedford, but Thompson can cover the AT role (assuming he can stay injury free for the next few months!!!)
It's a big IF in terms of Thompson and I was thinking more replacement than cover for Tettey. I love the man and as i say, he has been good this season. Just feel he needs replacing with a touch more class? Not sure Thompson is ready for a full time role at this level, even if he does stay injury free?!
Possible statement of intent from Leeds and another Norwich old boy we could face. That would be a bloody good signing if they sort that one! Bah!
That's just the price tag 2 Championship seasons and half of 1 Premiership season gets you these days! Imagine how much Mark Albrighton would be worth in this window! He's being doing it in the Premiership for many years!
It's not really any different to the speculation around Maddison to Manure for £75m. Neves is arguably more proven, although that price has significant "we don't want to sell" bluster. Of course Maddison at £75 was nought but tabloid speculation too and as a home qualified player Leicester could probably ramp that fee up too. Bah!
So looks as though Martin O’Neill is taking over at Forest. If he can get them playing well again, it could really help us. They’ve recently beaten Leeds, are away to West Brom on 12th Feb and home to Derby on 25th!!
City linked with Scottish Winger, but looks like he will be part of the U23's squad if he signs https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/spo...de-for-highly-rated-scottish-winger-1-5853460
Just seen on BBC that Ipswich signed Alan Judge!? Really?! How?! God that's a good signing. Also really gutted Collins signed for them...
Apparently we are interested in a young player from Fulham - Matt O’Reilly. Bayern Munich are said to be after him though
That would surely be a loan, for us. Transfer for Bayern. (If at all true) He's a highly, highly rated lad. He's going to be a top player. Centre Midfielder.
Marshall set for loan transfer till the end of the season to Millwall, he will not be able to play against us when we play them at the Den https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/spo...oin-millwall-in-january-loan-switch-1-5854320
Ah sh1t. Another Home Grown player gone. If we don't sign any players, we could be in a bit of trouble.
