The red card was in injury time wasn't it? Thinking if it cost us getting 3 points at all??

I think the fact that this Premier League supposedly ref was officiating in a League One game says it all to me. Hopefully he keeps going down to the lower leagues. He would make a mess of a Sunday League game.

Fecking Probert. He gave the decision based on the reaction of the Luton cheat didn't have a clue what had actually happened.

By the time he gave Maguire the red card, he'd turned the entire game into a farce. It really was the Lee Probert show from the outset.

He needs to be sacked. He's been demoted from the Prem to League 1 coz he's sh1t, but why should he be allowed to ruin League 1 games?

Has the Luton lad got his red card rescinded as well? I thought that was harsh as well

Well that's good news, pity we can't do owt about the dodgy penalty then.
Whilst I'm thoroughly enjoying Division One it's being tainted by the standard of Refereeing, and Probert was having a jolly day out from the Prem at our expense, unbelievable.

From my viewpoint at the time it looked like he lashed out with his arm across Baldwin's face but it's more or less off screen on the replay. Ross said he thought neither was a red and given Probert's performance he's probably right.

Edit they never appealed it so I guess it didn't look great on the replay.

I'm surprised that they didn't appeal. Their lad who got sent off is looking at a long ban isn't he? He'd had a few reds this season

he is charge of the Blackburn game tonight ! should be fun and Rodwell is playing he is due a good performance like. Most of these refs need investigating, how many more appeals will we win ?, that match was tame on Saturday compared to the Oxford match, I never saw maguire stamp on any player either is it the oppenents 'buying the ref'. It is a shame because this has been a great season for us.

Didn't want the possibility of an extra game ban apparently, I think they'll miss him he's a handful.

Always rated Probert <laugh><laugh>. Done us a massive favour. The Luton lad, Danny Hylton was a handful and will now miss 5 games. Could affect their form. Hope so anyway.

PS, sorry nacho your post went on about 3 milliseconds before mine. Didnt copy honest.

Former Premier League Ref, former Championship ref and hopefully former League one ref.

Sunday league refs I've had have been well above the standard of most of this league. The FA would do well to have look into grass roots referees and pay for their courses to step up the level.

Is Probert p*ssed off cos he got caught gambling, suspended, and is just being a c*nt now. Forget that, he was always an incompetent c*nt.

He's refereeing our great unwashed cousins from the north tonight in their replay with Blackburn.
