Putting club allegiances to one side I'd like to see Kane kick on and become a winner in years to come as he seems to be struggling to back up the heavy mantle of "Millwall young player of the year 2011-12" with actual silverware.

I was thinking of limited players who have won more than him, often by the age he is now and was wondering who Tottenham could try to get in to mentor him to have more of a winning mentality, or even perhaps just knowing these people won things may be enough it itself. A couple of suggestions came to mind:

Igors Stepanovs: A talismanic centre back who won the league with Arsenal.

David "Usain Bolt" Bellion: League winning striker that may be an aspirational role model for the possibly plateauing Kane.

If anyone else could help out here with suggestions, I'm not sure how far the Tottenham budget would stretch so we may need quite a list for them to be able to pick the cheapest.

<laugh> where did this Newkie fan come from

I think for his own good he needs to move to Real to pick up the winners mentality. Under Tottenham and Pochs management i'm not sure he's ever going to reach the winners level unfortunately.

Haslam is actually a good lad (for a mag)...Also was a lawyer or something like that, now a teacher i think.

He doesn't usually take the piss either, but this is funny.

Ashley is taking the piss out of Newcastle enough for everyone, I don't think there's anything anyone else could do/say that would come close.

As a genuine point I think, as a neutral, he'll win things at other clubs and not at Tottenham. Not saying I think he should move, we had Shearer for years after it was clear we weren't going to win anything and I'm sure he could still have done a job at a challenging team at 28-33. If he's honest with himself I reckon Shearer may wish he left for a couple of years to win more stuff and then come back to retire - I'm expecting Kane to do that if/when Tottenham don't win anything in the next couple of years.

    Also, Christopher Wreh - winner.

Sissoko is a beast! One game in every 10. His average rating for us when on TV was pretty much double that of games when we were not. His attitude was hilariously bad though, first rumors of a move to Arsenal (whilst at us) and while the club are refusing it he's taking snapshots of himself in an Arsenal kit and posting how they are "the club of my dreams" - what a legend.

Morata won the Champions League at 21

Morata would be a great signing for Spurs, Kane could be his understudy and learn a lot
