I think too much is being made of this win at Spurs. The Londoners were tired after their exhausting match against Chelsea. They had a key CM injured and replaced mid match. Their squad is getting really down to the bone. And whilst the GK is an amazing shot stopper (I think the best in the world) the finishing from Spurs wasn't that great and Spurs did dominate the 2nd half.

I'd like to see them cope with a reverse and see how they recover. I still think that top 4 is beyond them although their 6th place looks unassailable now.

Of course we will have to play well and take our chances. I just hope that they are not still on their free wheeling mode when they meet us. When we played them at Anfield they played like frightened pupils being asked to audition for a critical teacher. But as long as we are able to contain their attack and not give them silly chances we should beat them.
The Utd and Everton games are going to be like the Chelsea spurs game the year Leicester won the league
They will do everything they can to get a win/draw we have to win every other game and hope city draw or lose one other game

So Fowler scored more goals(83) before and up until he was 21 but according to the BBC he wasn't a "Wonder Kid" like Rashford, Kane, Owen, Rooney and Ronaldo.<laugh>

Marcus Rashford: Man Utd striker compared to Kane, Rooney, Ronaldo and Owen

"So how does his record stack up against Kane and other former 'wonder kids' Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen and Cristiano Ronaldo?"

They all played for Utd. Because Utd are the only team to ever exist. [HASHTAG]#bbclogic[/HASHTAG]

Man City get their first clean sheet in 9 games and all it took was playing 12v10 for 75 minutes

Man City have played against 10 men for 2/3 of their last games

[HASHTAG]#desperate[/HASHTAG] stuff from PGMOL

(We've played against 10 men for 18 minutes this season)

Wagner resigned to avoid playing city.

We now must beat palace cos Huddersfield who were always only going to try defend with 11 behind ball have chucked in towel before city even play.

Footballs pathetic at times. Guy slides in, wins the ball. What do you want him to do, make his leg vanish j to thin air? It was on the ground, studs pointing down, not his fault silva was too slow and put his leg there

yet kompany was not sent off for a last man, two footed, high studs challenge on salah.

explain that.

Boly apologised to Silva

Meanwhile Kompany: "It was that or let him go through on goal"

hope so, get rid of ass holes like warnock and pullis etc and game would be a better place <ok>
Fewer Warnocks and more Wagners and the world would be a better place.
The sad thing is, you just know that Huddersfield are likely to bring someone like that in to try and "sort them out".
Wagner had done really well to get them where they are, but this league is always tough for any team with comparatively limited resources. Their defensive stats aren't that bad for a team in their position but they just can't score.

Ah, whatifery. Different ref, different views, different game.....not Liverpool?

It just goes to showing inconsistency

Same stadium

one player commits a foul who plays for home team. He clearly lunges in last ditch, he is off the ground, both feet committed, is last man. ref blows it up as foul... calls it yellow.

That man plays for home team.

the other player studs down goes for ball, is on the away team.... red card.

im no so sure on wagner. I know that side struggles to attract players but my god he was so negative in mindset. Yes its not clogger style hoofball he tried but its not that good either. I will wait and see if he can get a club where he can get a decent forward before deciding he's a great chap.

But yes he's done really well to win a play off and then keep that lot up.
